Scott - Great news from you aswell today! It's no long now, so happy for you!

And some news of my own..

Hubby called NVC today after being as confused as myself about the e-mail I got from the embassy.

The operator told him our case was still with them (yeah,I spent several days tracking someones elses package, haha) and won't be sent out until they are scheduling an interview.

And then told him all the info about the panel physichians would be sent to me with the interview-app. Wouldn't tell him where I could go. It's pissing me off!! I mean, the NVC probably knows, the Embassy probably knows, why can't someone/ANYONE just tell me which doctor I can go see!!!!!

Weird. I was trying to find the list of physicians on your Embassy website and I couldn't.

They should have it there.... sorry you are having a hard time.

actually yours was approved right under 100 days. Ours took 4+ months :(

Wow! See, they decided to speed up and backlogged NVC now!!! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh

hahaha I wish I have more...you cannot imagine how they are in Dominican Rep. Consulate..you must take everything with you they never found anything that you submit to NVC...of course each consulate is different and some stuff from my list are not necessary..but my list is check by couple persons that had their interview in my consulate

I think you need about 35 more sets of FC Barcelona, Missy. ;)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

So, I checked the tracking again today, and it looks like a package went out for Frankfurt today and yesterday. I guess I give up on trying to track it. Who knows if either of them are mine... Looks like a lot of them have gone out today...

On top of that, the one that went out yesterday was 3lbs and the one that went out today was just 1lb. I would guess mine would be 3lbs considering all the papers and copies I sent, but who knows?

I was able to find it though,at the travel.state.gov site.

And learned I have to have the chest x-ray and bloodtest done ahead of my medical. That's good to know! Calling the only doctor I can go to tomorrow to see what's up. Hoping they'll have an opening when I'm in Stockholm (coming back from hubby) I would hate to have to travel there one more time to do that, and then back for the interview.

Hoping I can atleast have my "pre-medical" stuff done somewhere close by.

It's times like these I hate living in the middle of no-where (that's what hubby calls it up here, haha)

So what does this mean? I email the embassy in kingston to see how full they are for interviews and they send me this...

Good afternoon:

A check of the NVC’s database indicates that your case is not yet documentarily qualified. Therefore, I am unable to say when you are likely to be scheduled for a visa interview. Please be assured that once your case is ready for scheduling, the NVC will schedule you for a visa interview at the earliest available date.

UM.. WHAT? Im just asking if May is full? They piss me off

I'm glad you found some information.

I have to travel to Rio de Janeiro for the interview, and I know they have a doctor at the same street as the consulate.

So I talked to the secretary and she said it's completely safe to have the medical done the day before the interview.

As I prefer to be on the safe side, I'm planning to travel there 2 days before my interview and have it done in the morning. She said they take the blood test right there and the x-ray can be done in a clinic 2 blocks away.

She also said that most of the girls does that and never had any problems.

So I guess it's worth it, since I have to travel by plane and I'd hate having to go there twice.

ps- I have all the vaccinations done and they don't perform any invasive exam, just asks to bring a letter from your personal doctor saying everything is ok with you. So it's basically regular questions and blood/x-ray exams.

Now--second week of April--is that 5-9 April or 12-16 April? What do you think, fellas?

Well I actually got the email from the NVC with our interview date on 12/29/09. So figure that one out. But I do know that the way you track your package from the NVC to the embassy is by taking the date of the email with your interview date and use a couple of days before the date as the start date for the DHL tracking and it will show your package as it leaves the NVC within that date range.

I thought a couple of times after I had gotten case complete that it was my package traveling to Cairo, but come to find out it wasn't!:whistle:
