Well... nice lady (except the nice part) confirmed their receipt of the AOS (um, knew this) but is telling me they havent STILL havent reviewed it yet. It was received on the 23rd she said and its taking 2-4 weeks to review. How annoying. I dont believe anything they say really. Their time references are unreliable (as we all know)

A question, the "Case Barcode Strip" thing in the above of the DS-3032, should I fill it in, or just leave it blank?

The answer is in the NVC Electronic Processing Wiki Page.

Please read it, again ?

Barcode requirements are towards the top.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

OH NO EVERYONE...

Just saw on page 2 of my husbands DS230 that in question 30- he listed his present address as 8-2004 to present, but also his address from his date of birth as 10-1982 to PRESENT... WE are gonna get an RFE huh????

What should I do?? Should I call them now? have him fill out another form? what do I do? it should have read 10-1982 to 8-2004 not 10-1982 to PRESENT!

O.o now im confused... they should have sent you an email that has a barcode on it ....

or atleast that is what I sent in, was the one they sent me. I printed it, signed it, scanned it and put it in pdf form..

hmmm

NVC/EP specific answers:

------

don't be confused, please.

IF you are doing EP at NVC - barcode is NOT required.

instead - all is tied to the casefile # , stored electronically,

referenced via casefile # for SAFEFILE (that transmission pipe beween NVC and MTL/GUZ)

BarCode Not Required.

You won't be dinged if you use it.

You are never dinged when you NOT use it

Well, the IV Bill amount is out of my bank account. So, I'm hoping when the portal refreshes at 3, I can print my cover letter and get on the "waiting for LIF" train with so many of you.

Did you get an email about DS-3032 accepted? I did not, yet.

Yeah. We got that yesterday same time the fee bill became available...

I wouldn't worry about it. All it says is pay your fee bill. :)

Haha, yeah, it's been that sort of way for me the whole time. The NVC had our email addresses before we got the hardcopy NOA2... I'll just stay the course and they can notify me whenever they want, as long as they keep approving things. :)

Melody,

2. I need to have his original birth certificate, police clearance & passport copies to submit?

you are going to send in the originals and make a copy to send in

So I will mail in all the orinals but make copies for myself to keep on file?

I mailed my hubby like 10 DS230 forms. Some so he can fill out & some so he can just put his signiture on it. Attorney told me to do that just in case.

you could of had him print them right out in India, if he doesnt have a computer, then he can go to any internet cafe

Yes, he does have internet but I was mailing stuff to him anyways so it was easier to mail for me then explain to him everything I need. Plus I attached an example how to feel a form out. Or else it would of been the same situation with us as with you and your hubby :)

Oh no! Quick, quick, quick! Have him fill out the form again and overnight it to you (or 3-day delivery if that's the best option) so that you have it ready to go. Don't send in duplicate forms just yet. Wait for them to ask for it via RFE first.
