My AVR was finally updated to Case complete as of the 20th. It took NVC a week after sign in fail to update status. It was annoying to listen to the AVR last week but finally its official.

Add me up.,.Im on March too..we received the NVC letter stating that they will send the approved petition within a week in Manila Consulate.Till now we are waiting for the said packet as for the Medical and Interview thing.Goodluck everyone.

I am getting crazy... I need the last document "RPO Clearance Certificate".

Once we have the interview letter in hand, we're going to take a final decision as to whether Mr. Sachinky will be in attendance or not. Mumbai does NOT allow the USC petitioner inside so I don't know if it's worth a $1500 ticket. Besides, he just started a new job so I doubt he'd get time off already.

The weekly update on the embassy interview list maybe because NVC ONLY schedules CERTAIN Immigrant Visas. A lot of them are scheduled by the embassy itself. So while NVC might schedule the majority of the cases in the second week of the month, there's a good chance the rest of the cases are being assigned by the embassy/consulate in question.

Ok my AOS packet was received on the 17th (6 days ago) and my IV packet was received yesterday. I know the AVR isn't updated very well soooo, when do you suppose I should call to check on the AOS? IV? I know it's hard to believe, but I'm a little impatient

I am on the same boat as you. As of today the AVR stated they are processing my received paperwork as of the 22nd but wondering when I should actually call a live operator. I call the AVR often to see if anything changed but operator I have yet to call also. Might wait till Friday too.

Kevin, we're in the same boat. I'm going to call tomorrow to check on the AOS and again on Monday about the DS-230. That's it. I'm limiting myself to those two days.

Yeah, right! Who am I kidding? I'm still going to call and check the AVR and try signing in a billion times each day. Good luck to us! I'm hoping for CC by the end of the month and with any luck an interview at the end of April. But, of course, I told Husby to get ready for an interview in May. Ugh!! I just want him here already!!

I saw in the VJ wiki a while back that the AVR gets updated when your package is shipped to the consulate. The message is something to the effect "NVC has forwarded your case to the consulate" Can anyone with a interview date confirm this. Looks like the wiki page for NVC's AVR is under constuction so I cannot really confirm this.

You know now that I think back to our k3 journey that was exactly what took place. K3 appointments are set by the embassy. Once approved, the petitions do not stay at NVC very long..maybe a day or two. I recall our K3 spent less than 24 hours at nvc.

I can also see how re-interviews would be set by the embassy, and same for consular processing cases, and dna test cases, etc..

Good point. So perhaps, ALL IR1/CR1 interviews are set by the nvc since after all they are the one doing the processing.

Good point Sach. There are some interview based embassies (like mine for instance) that just hold the interviews. The NVC schedules for them. Depends on your embassy. Since the NVC only schedules second week of the month, that means that if your embassy is an appointment based embassy, you have to wait for NVC. If its not, the embassy schedules and it could mean earlier, etc. There IS a method to this madness.. HAS TO BE. cant be some mad hatter somewhere pinning tails on donkeys.

If I have an RFE for my AOS, how long it will take them to put it into AVR or send me an email? I am just anxiously waiting to see if my AOS is okay or not.

They just received your paperwork on the 16th & you already know that you have an RFE? )Sorry to hear that!). Did you just find out yesterday or? My papework is in process as of the 22nd so when will I know if I am okay or I got an RFE also?

Mine changed too, according to it they received everything on March 20th.... Praying for no RFE now...

Thats great!!! But they received our paperwork the same day but only started processing mine on the 22nd. Damb slow mailroom. Well lets pray for a RFE free journey!!!!
