Once we have the interview letter in hand, we're going to take a final decision as to whether Mr. Sachinky will be in attendance or not. Mumbai does NOT allow the USC petitioner inside so I don't know if it's worth a $1500 ticket. Besides, he just started a new job so I doubt he'd get time off already.

hmmm.. so walk me thru this, I go on DHL site, go to track, track by reference, where do I enter NVC, or dates, etc?

I am fed up with this thing, and just wanna get over with it. At least, just to know WHEN exactly to look forward to rather than knowing nothing, but WAITING Everyday is a torture, at least to me hmmmm....

I was going over what I needed to bring to the interview and was reading through my letter.

Anyone know what "Correspondence Instructions" refer to? (see attached image)

I assumed it meant the steps I need to follow that were in the letter itself, but wanted to make sure.

I really want to see things work out for the best for you and all of us here. And although you are absolutely correct in that if a package hasn't left NVC in a while and all of the sudden one departs, it's a good chance that it might be yours. In fact, that was what happened in my case. Nothing left nvc for several days and tadda one left about two days after my case complete.

However, if Tharnsur's case provides any real substance to our tracking theory, it could lead us to false alarms. Tharnsur and I had thought that since his case was complete just three days after mine, the probability that his would leave three days after mine was also high. Well, that has proved to be incorrect if in fact what the operator had said is true.

I would give your case several days before calling nvc. I'd hate to see you get false information re. the whereabouts of your package.

Interestingly, I received nvc email re. my interview time the very same day my package arrived at the u.s. embassy. I HIGHLY DOUBT THAT they can process things that quickly in Cambodia. Thus, in all likelihood, it appears that what the operator had told Tharnsur may in fact be correct when you consider the fact that we often receive email from nvc about a day or two after the fact. For example, I received an RFE email on checklist missing information about two days after they had alreadyd received them. What this means is that nvc may have already scheduled my appt. prior to shipping to the embassy. And when it finally arrived, so did my interview email.

My only confusion is that if interviews are scheduled one week per month, why would they be sending the interview list weekly? This is what led me to beleive that Thansur's case is at the embassy in Cambodia, awaiting a freindly clerk to assign a time, notify nvc and send the official interview email.

I have applied for my two minor children.

sent the ds-3032 and mailed the AOS package on 03/17/10

today the online payment site shows invoice for IV bill for

only one child and not invoiced for the other.

Any possible reasons?

the 2 cases should have had 2 casefile #s.

so log in to the payment portal with the OTHER casefile number, see whats up.

If indeed it's simply not there - then there are some assumptions (pick one or more).

1. NVC data entry is lagged

2. NVC data entry screwed up

3. you did not have SEPERATE files at all, when you submitted the DS-3032 and AOS.

4. NVC itself is lagged.

paying the IV fee is NOT tied to the DS-3032 at all, though many seem to think it is - it's a parallel process.

Check the portal again, once at 3:05 PM EST and again at 10:05 PM EST, check for status.

Man, I'm still SO happy. It's been nearly 9 hours since I got that SIF and I can't stop grinning. Today was the first day I signed in without ANY expectations whatsoever. Totally thought it would go right through to the RECEIPT PAGE as usual. When I got the error message, I was like YESSSSSSSSSSSSS, b*tches! I'd been waiting for this moment for a month now, I thought when it finally happened I'd be all like, "yeah, okay, cool, whatever." -- but I was screaming my head off.

Now I'm waiting for all YOUR sign-ins to fail!

That's so awesome girl. I just overnighted my hubby's DS-230 and civil documents to NVC. Where do you sign in to know that your case is complete (sign in failed) Sachinky?

Im beginning to think its in groups. I was looking at Kingston Jamaica and the package weighed six pounds. Seems like it had a couple packages maybe. I dunno, i wonder what a typical package weigh?
