hard to say- last night I checked at 10pm (midnite NVC time) and it was still the old message, this morning I checked at 8am NVC time and it said they received it on the 20th

You just answered!

So, the 20th was a Saturday. Maybe they are working on Saturdays then?

I called last night about 11pm EST and it was the same old message too. That's why I didn't even try this morning. So AVR seems to be fixed now I think. And they are getting the mail out of the mail room much faster than before!!

When do you guys call case complete for me? Yaaaay

I am a little confused on this issue.

The interview date is assigned and conveyed via email by NVC. Yes?

Now are the packages shipped out as soon as the case is completed, or do they only ship it out when there's an available date, presumably in the next few weeks, at the embassy? Meaning, NVC holds those cases till a date clears up or the next round of scheduling begins.

I guess I'm thinking this way because of what the operator told Tharnsur. "Your package is not yet shipped out as you will have to wait till the second week of April."

Those who've had case completes already--were all of you able to track your package? Or just the ones with interview dates?

Sweetie, I am getting dizzy with this entire process! thought i was able to put my mind at ease a little bit after the case completed from NVC, but no :bonk: We have absolutely no idea whether NVC only mailed our packets to the US consulate abroad right after the case is competed, or hold them all up until we got the interview date assigned. Per the operator we talked to last night, she said, our case is still at NVC, and they would only mail it out after we have the interview date time set

SPSGuy got his case completed like a few days before us :( and he got his interview for April, while we still have no idea what the heck our packet is right now. :crying: We have been tracking the wrong packages all this while if what the operator said is true :(

AMIGA MIA..

YOU MUST CHECK THE WEB SITE OF YOUR EMBASSY PER EXAMPLE IN DOMINICAN CONSULATE IS MANDATORY TO BRING 2 PICTURES TO THE INTERVIEW AND A NEW POLICE CERTIFICATE EVEN IF THIS WERE SENT TO NVC...SO CHECK THE WEBSITE JUST TO MAKE SURE..EACH CONSULATE IS DIFFERENT

Hi amiga! Long time no see!

I checked the Embassy reviews and everybody there are saying they had to take a new picture because it wasn't showing the ears.

So I guess we have to bring 2 more. I know for the medical I have to take 1.

Check your AVR and see if it's updated.

He sure will!!!

I was reading some reviews and sometimes the consul doesn't allow the USC in the room.

So I don't know.... when they call my number we'll just get up and walk in, so if he doesn't want his presence, he'll have to tell him.

Yesterday, I was reading a review in another website and the girl went alone to the interview. The consul wanted to see pictures of them and she had just a few. He wanted more, and she said since she had to take a plane to the interview she didn't bring too many ( )

He insisted and she showed him some emails from the beginning of the relationship, and he got mad saying that 4ys of relationship they should have more.

Anyway, at the end he gave her the visa. Weird huh? She didn't have enough proof of relationship and the husband wasn't even there.... Maybe Brazil is not a high fraud country?

I hope my interview goes smooth.... I'm really afraid of Consulate interviews!!!!

Alicia--Definitely by the end of this month, dear.

Kevin--Here, more flowers for you. (F)

Man, I'm still SO happy. It's been nearly 9 hours since I got that SIF and I can't stop grinning. Today was the first day I signed in without ANY expectations whatsoever. Totally thought it would go right through to the RECEIPT PAGE as usual. When I got the error message, I was like YESSSSSSSSSSSSS, b*tches! I'd been waiting for this moment for a month now, I thought when it finally happened I'd be all like, "yeah, okay, cool, whatever." -- but I was screaming my head off.

Now I'm waiting for all YOUR sign-ins to fail!

Come on TEAM NVC--Let's go, go, go.

Guys I'm freaking out....In my DS-230 package I sent the original documents and photocopies, I did not get translations because it said on the NVC site that as long as the original documents are in english or the language of the country where interview is, I don't need translations, now I keep thinking did I screw up????? Should I have sent in translations?
