Wow, Kevin. After all that and they still managed to make an error. How frustrating for your wife. But it's all good now. There's light at the end of our very long tunnel.

I keep thinking about some of my friends who had to wait a year just for NOA2 and then another 6 months or so to get an interview. I'm so happy we've been able to get to where we are in such a short amount of time.

I'm putting together our evidence today and mailing it to Husby. Reading all of our cards and old e-mails brings back so many memories. How is it that 5 years have managed to pass this quickly? Oh and our relationship ups and downs! We never thought it'd come to waiting for a visa. Haha! I know there were some days we didn't want it to go another week! What're we gonna do when it's all over?

What does everyone think? Are you planning on going for citizenship or staying an LPR? What about staying in the US or going back to your spouse's country eventually.

We're going to hold off on citizenship until after our children are born. (Psh... Husby says "children" but I say just one "child" for us.) As for staying here forever vs returning to Thailand, I have no idea. Right now, we're planning our life here in the US.

We are going to do our best to maintain two residences. Eventually, I want to live in Jamaica. We have four kids between us, ages 18 mos to 16! We both want children together too, so we have some time ahead before we make the move. Right now, living in the US just makes sense. Jamaica is his home, and has become my home too essentially. To have my little house on the west end, my own lime trees and callallo growing in the backyard, no more snow and the love of my life by my side, would be heaven. Right now I just want HIM.

Dear fellow VJers through NVC in February/March,

Thank you all for your support, kind words and good wishes. Here--some virtual flowers for you. (F) I wish you all the very best for the remainder of this very long journey. Here's to a speedy reunion with our spouses!

And now the wait begins for the interview assignment. Might give them a call tonight to see how things are shaping up.

What exactly do I put for the DHL reference? EXP March 22 2010 A? Am I doing this correctly?

DOLL!!!! Yes.. and WHAT would we do with out you. You have been a blessing to us all on this board and continue to be. I prayed for you everyday. You've made us smile, laff, and have brought us words of wisdom AND encouragment. So happy for you. and pleased that sometimes, good things come to those who DESERVE. Good people like you are hard to come by and you have a beautiful soul. A rarity IMO.

Thansur I don't believe what you were told by the nvc operator. If you look at the DHL site for shipments from nvc to embassy to cambodia during the second week of march, there were less than 20 cases sent. If you follow the weekly update of interview schedules you'll see that there are way more than 20 interviews per week. Sometimes they do about 10 a day.

OKAY FREINDS, I DON'T RECOMMEND CALLING NVC OFTEN, however, during the transition from nvc to embassy, I recommend calling often to ensure that your case isn't lost in the middle of the ocean somewhere.

Thansur, call and speak to another operator and ask why you have to wait for the second week of the month when new interviews are being scheduled weekly, per the embassy weekly update?

Police clearance here is good for 30 days only. What NVC requires NBI and not police clearance. I specified to my purpose is "Travel to USA".

Yeh, :( It was just wishful thinking..lol I included the police clearance just as a little "extra". It didn't expire until the middle of May and I already had her go get a new one for her interview.

I called the US embassy Manila. They dont require police clearance but only NBI with all the names used. I was married before so I had 3 NBI clearances, one single, one married name before and one present marriage. I have already changed my name to my new married name. I sent the other half of all NBI clearances to my husband and the personal copies are left to me for my interview.
