UGH Kevin are you serious? See, its delays like this that are unfair. I guess just cross your fingers and pray things go smooth. Any way you can call and speak to an operator and run things by them to see if a RFE will be issued? When I found my blunder, I spoke to someone who pretty much told me I was guaranteed an RFE.

The first time she went to get it they messed her name up. She caught that one and waited on them to correct it. It was late when she finally got it and just scanned over it to make sure the name was fixed. I got it and put the packet together. I was reading line by line right before I went to send it and found they'd screwed up her DOB. Now she goes back to get another that's correct and they screw that up too. It should be expected..hell it takes all day long just to pay your water bill there..LOL

I've kinda been crossing my fingers that they wouldn't catch it, and if they did, they might overlook it since I included a police clearance too. I know, wishful thinking..LOL I'm pretty sure the AOS stuff is ok (god I shouldn't say that) so if I have an RFE coming I won't know till next week when they process the ds230 I'm sure :(

Wow, Kevin. After all that and they still managed to make an error. How frustrating for your wife. But it's all good now. There's light at the end of our very long tunnel.

I keep thinking about some of my friends who had to wait a year just for NOA2 and then another 6 months or so to get an interview. I'm so happy we've been able to get to where we are in such a short amount of time.

I'm putting together our evidence today and mailing it to Husby. Reading all of our cards and old e-mails brings back so many memories. How is it that 5 years have managed to pass this quickly? Oh and our relationship ups and downs! We never thought it'd come to waiting for a visa. Haha! I know there were some days we didn't want it to go another week! What're we gonna do when it's all over?

What does everyone think? Are you planning on going for citizenship or staying an LPR? What about staying in the US or going back to your spouse's country eventually.

We're going to hold off on citizenship until after our children are born. (Psh... Husby says "children" but I say just one "child" for us.) As for staying here forever vs returning to Thailand, I have no idea. Right now, we're planning our life here in the US.

Dear fellow VJers through NVC in February/March,

Thank you all for your support, kind words and good wishes. Here--some virtual flowers for you. (F) I wish you all the very best for the remainder of this very long journey. Here's to a speedy reunion with our spouses!

And now the wait begins for the interview assignment. Might give them a call tonight to see how things are shaping up.

What exactly do I put for the DHL reference? EXP March 22 2010 A? Am I doing this correctly?

Police clearance here is good for 30 days only. What NVC requires NBI and not police clearance. I specified to my purpose is "Travel to USA".

SPSguy - i emailed the us embassy in cambodia and according to them they do not have our case. they said to conctact NVC. so i did just that last night. after a very long hold, i was told that our case and paperwork is still at NVC waiting for an interview date to be assigned during the second week of each month. So it looks like we missed the April interview date. the thing i don't understand is why they didnt send out package to the us embassy. i guess i'm just anxious to get this stage of our life journey over with. If my interview is in march, i may just celebrate our wedding anniversary in cambodia. do you have any recommendations where we should go? i heard that some of the islands off the coast of kompong som is great, but i'm not familiar with that area.

Again, thank you for all your great advices and good luck to you and your wife at the interview. i'll keep you posted if and when i get an interview date. We'll see if we can do lunch and/or dinner when im in cambodia.

There are many places to see and do in Cambodia. My wife and I love the landscape of Pailin and we love to visit Kep. Kompong som is a fun place and u could visit the russian island or one of the others. Rent a water ski and you'll have a good time. But I'll tell you what i love most about Cambodia: The countryside away from everything. After being here for almost 2 years I have a greater appreciation for the motherland. But the longer I stay in Cambodia, and the more I understand the lifestyles and culture, the more I realize how much I love and how proud I am to be an American.

Back to what you just said, I'm a bit confused about the whole process. I would have thought that your case was complete and sent to Cambodia. It would make much sense for them to send to the local embassy. Why are they keeping your case why other cases are being to Cambodia as can be seen on DHL site? Apparently you were right about nvc scheduling between the 8-12th every month. I never knew this. Fortunately, my case was complete on the 8th and was sent out on the 11th.

What I don't understand is if nvc schedules appointments only in the second week of each, why on earth would they have a new interview schedule released every Friday. Seems odd.

But it's not over 'til the nvc says so. Two people just got an interview date today and both were scheduled for middle of April.

**** filed K3/CR1 concurrently. My wife and I both work/live overseas. The following timeline continues from the approval of the K3 VISA.
