Well folks, so there you have it. Proof once again that the interview email comes from NVC, it is actually the embassy that schedules the appt WHEN they have received the package from NVC.

I was lucky to hit the exact delivery date of my package to embassy. Lucky in the sense that mine was the only one sent on that particular day. The NVC sent me an email the very same day the embassy received the package.

Scott an Mhay, have you received the official email from NVC of the interview date and time?

SPSguy - i emailed the us embassy in cambodia and according to them they do not have our case. they said to conctact NVC. so i did just that last night. after a very long hold, i was told that our case and paperwork is still at NVC waiting for an interview date to be assigned during the second week of each month. So it looks like we missed the April interview date. the thing i don't understand is why they didnt send out package to the us embassy. i guess i'm just anxious to get this stage of our life journey over with. If my interview is in march, i may just celebrate our wedding anniversary in cambodia. do you have any recommendations where we should go? i heard that some of the islands off the coast of kompong som is great, but i'm not familiar with that area.

Again, thank you for all your great advices and good luck to you and your wife at the interview. i'll keep you posted if and when i get an interview date. We'll see if we can do lunch and/or dinner when im in cambodia.

So since were both sailing the same boat, I wonder if it will take them very long at this stage. Since they already TECHNICALLY reviewd our forms, this shouldnt be a FULL review, but just a review to make sure the info we needed to change/complete is there, right?? Seems an RFE would get attended to a bit different than a fresh package. call me crazy, but I'd $hit golden ribbons if we can get a case complete this week. Its just a lame old question 30 NVC! Come on!

I would call. I didnt wait for the email- I made sure to talk to a operator/supervisor as soon as I knew about the RFE so I could find out what was needed. Give em a call straight away!

btw.. .it could be false. The one where they are telling you to send in your DS230...

gosh... is it the second week in April yet??? Damn... I am sooo tired of waiting.and I dont mean just for the interview.. I mean waiting for anything..

I went today to pick up some shavings for my chicken coop, and the guy was suppose to meet me around back to load it into my van. 2 min later he didnt come so I called them on the phone, another 2 mins and I called them again and told them to get someone out there now or I was leaving!!! <sigh> I use to be such a patient person.. would have to be to work with animals... but dangit... I feel like a 2 year old throwing a temper tanturm... I WANT IT NOW!!!!!!!:devil::devil:

I fear that I will have to find some 12 step program when all this immigration stuff is over... Or either I am going to start drinking :rofl:

Amen girl! I just got my case # today - woo hoo! rec'd the actual NOAs yesterday. Had to hold for 20 min and then got the NVC operator who confirmed my details. Gave them my and my wife's emails. Asked if I could pay the AOS bill and she said that they would email the AOS bill and ds-3032 form. confirmed with them if i could electronically email the ds-3032 form back and she said yes. the case had not been completely entered in, i guess (not surprising, since they probably just got the packet yesterday, just like me receiving the noas also yesterday). so now waiting for the emails!

but yes, this process is the death of us. seriously. so many emotional highs and lows. i had to cancel a trip to see my wife in India at the end of the month after getting my approval last week, figuring that i will have to be here for all the paperwork that now needs to be sent in to the NVC. now its heartbreaking knowing that while the process is moving forward, i will have to wait some more time to see my wife :(

Melody, i hope you get your interview asap; at least that'll be a boost emotionally! (and then you start freaking out again, waiting for the big day! the roller coaster never ends, does it?!)

Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale - My beautiful wife Soni

UGH Kevin are you serious? See, its delays like this that are unfair. I guess just cross your fingers and pray things go smooth. Any way you can call and speak to an operator and run things by them to see if a RFE will be issued? When I found my blunder, I spoke to someone who pretty much told me I was guaranteed an RFE.
