Interviews aren't scheduled like that. You won't get your July 27th date until the second week of June.

Those who haven't received dates yet, I wouldn't hold my breath. Yours will probably come in the 1st or 2nd week of April for May. Of course this is subject to your consulate's availability.

Yeah, I don't get why they do it like that. Why not just schedule dates as cases are completed even if they do spill over into the next month or two? Would make things a lot easier and also give people a sense of their timeline.

I emailed our embassy to see what their availability was looking like- and they emailed me back some ridiculous generated response that didnt answer anything.... UGH. I might have hubby call and see- but who knows if he will get a straight answer.

How you doin over there Sach...I think today is your lucky day! HAs to be this week for you- when will u call again>?

I'm doing better, Alicia. The Husband finally had a free weekend so we spent all weekend on Skype, eating Chinese together and playing bowling. Then we watched a movie together. I'd been missing him terribly. I've calmed down, I think. I am also beginning to understand that no matter what, we are meant to be together. Therefore, we will be together. NVC, you shall not defeat me!

Hopefully it'll fail by today or tomorrow. If not, we will definitely call on Wednesday again. I'm trying to not go crazy signing in every hour or so. It'll happen when it has to happen.

Fingers crossed. Toes crossed.

Thanks for all your good wishes, everybody. (F)

Thanks A-n-M :) I checked the AVR just for grins and the recording hasn't changed yet (a packet of information was generated on the ..blah blah). Thanks Scott! BTW, Where did you find that different\newer version of the DS230? I know you'd found one with different numbers on the bottom of the form but the one at the State Dept. hasn't changed.

I didnt find that one, another member did, but when i searched travel.state.gov I found the old one still, but if I went through the payment portal and followed the link there it went to the new one. The OMB number was the same, so I dont think anyone would have problems with it, but it would have been a good idea for those that havent filled it in to use the newest version.

Gave NVC our emails this morning. If I understand this right... now I wait for their emails to us to send the DS3032 and pay the AOS bill. Yes I have read the guides (more than once... more than twice... etc), just making sure that I am thinking clearly because the excitement is building... I think everyone here understands what I am saying!

And by the way, anyone have any idea how long it is taking for an interview in Jordan now? I know last year when we tried the K1 it was about 3 months. But I had read that there had been some improvements in that embassy and was hoping it might be faster now. :)

Thanks. Yes I have read it several times since October... LOL!

But when this FINALLY happened, I feel like my brain froze or something. Maybe that happens to a lot of us at first. I am sure I have it all together and in a day or two I will be myself again. It's just the excitement and shock at first and thinking "OMG what am I forgetting here?" LOL!

Thankful for this site and the help of many people!

Here's Christeen's time tested formula to get you through NVC in one piece alive:

Petitioner: Get NVC # + give operator your email IDs + receive AOS fee bill + pay 70$ online + wait to show paid + print cover sheet + send I-864 AOS with all documents and case # written on each page.

Beneficiary: Get NVC# + receive DS3032 + send DS3032+ DS3032 accepted + IV fee bill available to be paid + pay & wait to show paid + print IV cover sheet + mail DS230 package with all original/certified documents

= wait for case complete + wait for interview to be scheduled.

Suggestions:

1) Have the beneficiary mail SIGNED extra DS230s to you so that you have them handy in case something goes wrong. Or you get hit by a dreaded RFE.

2) If you just received your NOA2, THIS is the time to get your tax stuff and police certificates sorted out. Don't waste time on this.

3) Double check the PCC requirements in the regional forums as they are country specific.

4) Check out the stupid RFE pinned thread BEFORE sending out your packages.

Sachinky, so, from what you are saying.. I will not know when the interview is until like the 9th or 16th of April? That totally blows!! So much for getting an 'good' deal on some plane tickets :P This process sucks and continues to suck even after you get an case complete :(

Oh God!! I was just thinking.. what if we dont get an interview until June!! Then that would mean that I wouldnt hear or know anything until May/?!!?!

How do you find out how 'booked up' your embassy is? Do you email them, or is there some type of list? I have tried looking online .. but.. havent come across anything

Im afraid of the same thing! and I dont even have a case complete yet! ACK!!! Well, I emailed our embassy, but... I doubt Ill hear anything. Best best is to check out your portal and others who have just gotten interviews. Maybe their timeline can show some type of range for you to count on. Im betting you will have an interview next week :) Keep calling!

I just called the embassy and asked. The receptionist fwd's the call to the "people who answer questions". Be sure to ask the receptionist if there are designated times when someone will actually pick up that line. In Germany it's Tuesday and Thursday from 2pm-4pm. Narrow window, otherwise the message just tells you to call back later and hangs up.
