If i dont get anything..... I will call them on April 8th!

Wow, but you have already been waiting soooo long :( Why is it taking so long for an appointment date for you? Is it because your consulate is booked up or falling behind? I thought after a case complete that you would recieve an interview date within the next week... is my thinking off?

wow! this is very informative. I was planning to call the NVC everyday but now im not.

I have to wait after 5 days.

Thank you

yea I also just recently got the approval (march 16th; that's when they mailed out the approval notice). i've been calling since thursday. I just called right now and they didnt get it. Of course, i havent rec'd the hard copies. my guess is that they probably mail everything out at the same time. ie, once i get the actual hardcopies will be a good measure as to when the NVC will also have gotten it. i live in NYC and my approval was done in the california service center. historically it has taken 4-5 days business days for them to deliver mail to me. so if they mailed it out on the 16th (as per the case status website), then I should be getting it in the mail today (was expecting to get it on saturday). although i also only got the approval texts and emails on wednesday 17th, so when did they actually mail out the approval notices??? dont know. i will call them again tonight late night. if i receive it in the mail today, then presumably they would also receive it in the mail (assuming that they mail it through regular US mail) today and should then have time to process it and have a case # for me by late night. I just want this process to get going!!! it was so long to get my USCIS approval; just want this to go fast!

Also, i'm surprised that you dont have to talk to an operator to find out what your case # is...this of course would save me tons of time, if i can just call the AVR...

From the time that I recieved my emails and text of the NOA2 it took 8 buisness days to recieve my case number :( it totally sucked!!! SO hang in there.. after NVC gets your packages from the USCIS... it will still take a few days to input the info in the system... AND I would NOT rely on the AVR for anything!! The system is screwy and aggervating. Lots of times the AVR is what made me want to crack!

It depends on the Embassy. Montreal normally runs 2-3 months after you get case complete from NVC. I think Estrellademiel said that DR was running behind right now, too.

Well finally both AOS and IV packet are in the hands of the enemy ;) IV packet was delivered this morning so I'll get in the "hold our breath" line with all of you :) Does anyone know how I can check on Philippine interviews? Scott went the expedite route so I won't be able to judge by his timeline. I'm just curious how far out they're scheduling once the CC comes.

I understand that, just thought that even if you got a case complete today and your interview wouldnt be until July because they were backed up, I would think that you would still know that your appointment is July 27th... AM I making any sense? I dont see how it would take more than a week or two to make an appointment...

Congrats!! Praying for a speedy process

Tharnsur, any good news yet? Today is your day. I can feel it, brother.

Funny thing ( strange? ) is, based on the latest interviewing schedule, they have already scheduled up to May 3, 2010.

http://cambodia.usem...mar_19_2010.pdf

I'm not on this list for some odd reason despite having been notified of a date last week.

SPSguy - no news yet:( I'm going to email the embassy as you suggested and see what's the status of our case. As far as your case not on that list, i wouldn't worry about it. Your interview letter is official document!! Has your wife completed her medical exam yet? I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for all your great advices.

From what I understand, we won't find out until the month before, not sure how it works in Montreal. And you can't call Montreal, everything has to be done by email - and that takes them 6-8 weeks to reply, if at all. :( This is what I have gathered, by reading the Canadian regional forums. Hmm, that brings up a question - do they email the interview info? I would think so, but now I need to check *dashes off to the Canadian forums to check*

Thanks A-n-M :) I checked the AVR just for grins and the recording hasn't changed yet (a packet of information was generated on the ..blah blah). Thanks Scott! BTW, Where did you find that different\newer version of the DS230? I know you'd found one with different numbers on the bottom of the form but the one at the State Dept. hasn't changed.
