NVC March 2010 Edition!

and you have not receive the email yet?? NVC is soooo slow

hahaha...tell me about it....slow they are

one thing I still don't understand...is when they receive the mail lets say on the 1st of the month...they acknowledge it in the system on the 5th....WHY? WHY? WHY?

I understand that they get truck loads of mail but they are receiving that much mail everyday...so the mail they received on the 1st they open on the 5th and the mail they received on the 5th they are opening it on the 10th...so BASICALLY THEY ARE 5 DAYS BEHIND

they are opening about the same amount of mail everyday but they are just 5 days behind....

I honestly think that if they receive the mail in the morning it should be in the system the next day or day after....so if they receive something on the 1st it should be in their system on the 2nd or the 3rd

The operator asked our names, birthdays and emails, and told us that we need to email NVCGuangzhou@state.gov directly to participate the Electronic Processing, we said we already emailed it a few days, but only got a auto-response, she said:"OK, then just wait for the response, there is nothing they can do."

Beside, we asked do we need to give our joint email or two seperate ones, she said it does not matter

All right, we hope the DS-3032 can email to us today or tomorrow, and, of course, we do hope our case can move smooth and quick, and get an interview in April

By the way, when we call the NVC operator, she just re-checked our information, names, birthdays and emails, etc. We did not actually give her our emails, 'cause she already has ours. Did everyone go through it, or just us?

this is a bit wrong.

you are not waiting on the ds-3032 to be sent to you.

that tele-operator is using old info about which email address to use.

there is a particular way to OPT IN.

use the ds-3032 in the link from the wiki.

fill it out

print it out

sign it

scan it back in

attach to the OPT IN email that the spouse in China is prepping.

what you're doing, IMO, for 'waiting' - is to get the 'ds-3032 kit' -

so that you can PAY ONLINE.

payment portal stuff and NVC Electronic Processing is NOT the same thing.

Don't confuse them.

If you confuse them, you will confuse others in your questions, here.

they received my mail last monday and they acknowledged it (in the system) on thursday so yours should be in the system on Friday if they are still processing their mail in the same SLOW speed.

NVC noobs, pay attention. Here's Christeen's time tested formula to get you through NVC in one piece alive:

Petitioner: Get NVC # + give operator your email IDs + receive AOS fee bill + pay 70$ online + wait to show paid + print cover sheet + send I-864 AOS with all documents and case # written on each page.

Beneficiary: Get NVC# + receive DS3032 + send DS3032+ DS3032 accepted + IV fee bill available to be paid + pay & wait to show paid + print IV cover sheet + mail DS230 package with all original/certified documents

= wait for case complete + wait for interview to be scheduled.

i-864 part 3 question number 9

it says I am sponsoring the following family members immigrating at the same time or within six months of the principal immigrant named in Part 2 above. Do not include any relative listed on a separate visa petition.

Once again I have two cr cases one for me and one for my son.

Do we include my son for number 9 or not? as he does have a seperate visa petiton even though they are connected at nvc,,,correct?

In which case when we do his i-864 I will not be included on his number 9 question?

however he would be include on question 21? as I would be include on his 864 on question 21 as well?
