yeah it is quiet...i thought it was monday....nope sunday. I just had to work today so I was checking here to see if Sachinky had a SIF....guess we will have to wait until tomorrow. It is 1PM monday in the PI and I checked the embassy site for an appointment...nothing yet. Guess i will be calling tomorrow to ask questions at least.

For the K-1 people, how long do you wait to call the embassy for an appointment after your case leaves the NVC? I think with my expedite I am more under the K-1 stuff now and will have to call the embassy for an appointment.

Funny thing ( strange? ) is, based on the latest interviewing schedule, they have already scheduled up to May 3, 2010.

I'm not on this list for some odd reason despite having been notified of a date last week.

People--I don't know where this notion originated but I see this around a lot. There is NO way to confirm that your AOS is okay via the AVR. The ONLY way to do this is with a live operator. Wait about 5-7 days and call and ask if everything is okay. There is no approval or acceptance of the AOS or the DS230 for that matter. It's either under review or the case is completed. Just because the AVR says they are waiting for your biographic forms does NOT mean that your AOS is fine. It could still be under review.

Good morning. I thought it was complete because the message changed from 'waiting on biographic . . .' to '. . . some documents have been found missing (or however it is worded!). Since I know they don't have the DS-230 yet, and it wasn't "The NVC has reviewed your packet of forms and found information missing or incomplete on your financial information. The NVC sent a checklist letter on ... ". *shrug* I could have been wrong, who knows with this? I did call this morning, and the operator told me that they do not approve the AOS, that is up to the Embassy, but it was complete.

If she said it complete it was approved. She is giving you info from what she was programed to say dont worry. And its sounds and the RFE is for the DS-230 so send that in and its no big deal..

How soon is too soon to call the NVC to see if they have scheduled an interview date yet? Was thinking about trying to wait until Thursday... but I am itching to call them at some point today
