Ok now im a little puzzled.I did my taxes on Friday and i told the Rep that i was sponsoring for my hubby.I asked him if i should file "married filing separate" and he told me i have to file single since my hubby is not in the country as yet and that when my hubby comes i will have to come and do an ammendment..Was that the wrong way..Im lost.,... :help:

I filed my taxes back in Jan, and I did the same thing... I filed single and head of house... so I dont think that you will have any issues

How long does it take for NCV to complete your case after you have summitted all your documents? My documents are under review right now...my documents was received on March 13th,2010.

NVC couldn't have received your documents on the 13th as it is a Saturday and mail is not delivered on the weekend. So it was either the 12th or the 15th. You need to wait around 10 days before you get any sort of notification.

Good luck!

I am waiting too, :help::crying:

I'm curious as to your timeline. It says your log in failed on the 14th--a Sunday and now you don't have a case complete yet? Did you get another RFE--what's the "missing documents?"

Ok I do have an attorney but I'm not sure when the DS3032 will need to be sent to NVC. Are you saying that since he's choice of agent that there is no need for my step daughter to sign and mail this form to me?

Who exactly are you petitioning for? Your husband and his daughter? Right?

No, need for choice of agent forms since you filed the I-130 with a lawyer. Your bills have arrived, yes? Pay them and wait for them to clear in 1-2 days. Should be $70 for the AOS and $800 for the IV.

Your packets are ready, hopefully? Once the bills shows up as PAID, print out the cover sheet and then send in your documents. Overnight them.

Mama needs a new pair of shoes!

Pretty much with all the major dates/events and such highlighted. It was Darnell's suggestion.

Sachinky. I am curious, of why this letter of evolution is nessacary... with my I-130 petition I included an Spousal Affidavit of Relationship, that I had notarized.. is what you are talking about or something different? Should I type out something new? Maybe with a current date? Here is kinda what I sent in.. modified just to keep a little privacy :hehe:

Pleasantville,MS USA

In regarding application for a Visa for the United States of America:

This is evidence in support of a bona fide marriage between Melody Snookypie,Applicant, and Amit Snookypie,Beneficiary

AFFIRMATION OF MELODY SNOOKYPIE

Melody Snookypie, being duly sworn, deposes and says:

1.) I am making this affirmation in the connection with the application of my husband, Amit Snookypie, for a Visa for the United States of America. The contents of the affirmation are based on my knowledge and are true.

2.) I was born....

3.) My present address...

4.) I am the wife of Amit Snookypie

5.) I am a United States Citizen and I have submitted an I-130 petition for my spouse, AMit Snookypie, in order to obtain Legal Permanent Residence Status.

6.) In chronological order the details of our marriage are as follows:

bla bla bla...to long to type the like 300 word essay <give me the damn visa and we will live Happily ever After>

7.)Our Marriage is a bona fide marriage, and neither Amit Snookypie nor I entered into it for any immigration-related purpose.

8.) Our Marriage was, is and continues to be viable.

Then I signed it and had it notarized....

SOOOOO ... is this kinda what you are talking about... or is there another something that I should do to take along with me to the interview? Should I change this one around a bit and have a new one for the Embassy... Or... what.. just wanting to be as prepared as I can.... and what is the purpose of this again.. I was reading I think MQ had to have some statement from her before they can recieve thier visa... is it a statement like this?

Shed some light on me :innocent:

A timeline/evolution of relationship is often requested at certain consulates. It is NOT required. Basically the dates/major events highlighted outlined by the USC petitioner. Always better to have updated stuff at the interview.

Support affidavits can be used as bonafide evidence. Again, NOT required. I submitted 3 for the USCIS stage with the I-130 petition. I plan to have around 12-15 for the interview.

Honestly, it's up to each individual couple to decide what is/can be considered as bonafide evidence for their marriage/relationship.

Me, personally? I'd rather have too much than too little.

MQ was asked to provide a letter stating why she hasn't/wasn't required to file taxes for the preceding years.

IMO, the timeline is usually recommended/best suited for couples who are marrying for the second time or maybe if you started talking to your current husband while you were still legally married--that sort of thing.

Mine is just a regular old affidavit written by my husband with the dates we met, started dating, got engaged, got married and such bullet-pointed. It is not required, but I'd rather have it than not, even though we met in college through a common friend and this is the first marriage for both of us. It was Darnell's suggestion and it seemed to make sense.

Melody--You're attending the interview in Delhi with Amit, right? Do they let the USC petitioner inside?

Thank godness, it is a false RFE. I think it means they have accepted your AOS bundle. Anyway, do not worry, be happy! :)

I am able to get my Police certificate next Tuesday. NVC Hurry! hurry! then we can get April interviews

Married2009, would you mind I ask you Some questions about DS-230:

Question 11:Address in the United States where you want your Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) mailed, if different from address in item #10(include the name of a person who currently lives there)& Telephone number. My answer: Same as item #10

Question 32:In what occupation do you intend to work in the United States? My answer: Do not know yet

My answers are available?

Thank you, Married2009

Question 11 - that's what I did, I marked it same

Question 32 - We put the job title he has in Canada, but your answer should be okay, I think.

There is no chance for an April interview for me and hubby. Last time I checked Montreal was running 2 - 3 months behind. We are looking at June or July, realistically. Bleh. Good luck to you, though!

Melody--You're attending the interview in Delhi with Amit, right? Do they let the USC petitioner inside?

Sachinky, thats debatable, I know someone that went and surprisingly enough they interviewed both of them... I realize in most cases that they will not allow the petitioner inside, I am planning on going, but Hubby wants me to stay in the hotel room and he just take my passport,<sigh> I want to actually go to the embassy... so the only thing that I know for certain is that me and my mom will be in India at the time of the interview :P I am planning on going a few days before so I can brief my Hubby on all the evidence that I am bringing along. :hehe:

Hi March NVCers!

Quick question about having an additional sponser. When we did our original paperwork, I was the only sponser for Hubby. I am over the poverty guidelines, but now I am freaking out that I might get laid off before his interview comes up. My sister (who lives with me), has agreed to help me out. So my question is, can I add her this late in the process (Case was completed at NVC on March 1st), and if so, will she be a joint sponser or a co-sponser? I know I might be over reacting, but Montreal is so slow right now, and we probably won't get an interview until June or July.

Thanks A Million!

Hi Ellen, I think I'll also need a co-sponsor, so we are taking the papers to the interview.

You can do the same. Have the papers ready and if they ask you at the interview you just hand it to them right away.
