So far:

Mr. Sachinky: "I had called on Tuesday and was told to call back today and..."

Operator: "No, you weren't."

Mr. Sachinky: "I'm sorry?

Operator: "No you weren't, we never tell people specifically to call back on certain days."

Mr. Sachinky: "Oh, I'm sorry, I must have been mistaken but I did have a question. I was wondering why it was taking a little longer on our case, and if there was any problems with our RFE since we sent it in on March 2nd."

Operator: "Well, I don't know anything about that, but it says you're processing, I can't help you out further about it, I'm sorry."

Mr. Sachinky: "Ok, I was wondering if there might be someone I could talk to who might have some more information for me."

Operator: "Oh, is that because I can't help you or because you think I'm incompetent?"

Mr. Sachinky: "I didn't mean to offend you Ma'am, I just wanted to some more information -- we've been waiting for a while, and I just need to find a few things out so my wife and I can stop stressing out."

Operator: "Fine, I'll try to find someone who helps you better than clearly I can."

I mean seriously, #######.

Anyway, he's now on hold again waiting for a manager/supervisor.

Wow....I'm so sorry.....I have been lucky, so far the operators have been just not helpful at all but at least they weren't rude. Almost hurts at the end of conversation to thank them. On the lighter side, when I called today they told me to call back mid-next week....I wonder what's going to happen when I call and tell them that, are they going to say that they never told me to call back too? I should start taping conversations with them myself.....

Ok, so Mr. Sachinky spoke to a manager. He said everything was ok, no new problems. Still being processed. My husband asked him if we were in AP/AR for some random reason. He said no, because then it is flagged in the system as such. The guy was nice enough, he told him that because the different offices are run very differently, that if we sent in two packages, it's more likely that the people in his office started processing the one they got first. He wasn't sure which one that was, because sometimes the other office that processes the AOS is in his words are "mentally slow" and takes them forever to send over other packages. It could have been they got the actual RFE before the first RFE we sent. He also said that if we ever have a problem with poor customer service with any representative, to ask for a supervisor because he told him that I was too scared to call because I had had a bad experience. He said that if they don't put you through to a supervisor ask for their name and 6 digit cumoster representative ID number. He said that honestly, sometimes banking RFEs take a little longer, all AOS RFEs take longer.

So I guess we wait some more.

Wow seriously Sachi #######......

"Oh, is that because I can't help you or because you think I'm incompetent?"

Apt response: No....Its because you are rude and incosiderate.

Not that I would have said it :-) because we are at their mercy. Anyway I am glad you got to talk to a supervisor.

For our case it took 6 days for our case to enter into NVC system. You don't need to talk to the operator to get your case number. Do talk to the operator once you get your NVC case number so you can give them your email addresses.

I'm so glad you got some answers! Seriously, though, there is NO excuse for the rudeness you have both encountered. I'd like to remind them that helloooooo our taxes pay their salaries. A government by the people is the people and we ARE the people so if we freaking want to call 10 times a day (which I don't recommend...but hell if you want to...) then by golly you're going to answer our questions 10 times per day. What else are they there for but to pop open that case and answer customer questions?! That's their freaking JOB! Now, of course we want to be civil and we want to be reasonable but if we want to know, their job is to answer and not belittle. Good grief!!!!!
