NVC March 2010 Edition!

The AVR takes forever to update. Also, they let our papers stay in the mail room for a while before forwarding them to the right person.

They received my RFE yesterday morning and I'm not counting to have the AVR updated until Tuesday at least.

My still says " missing or incomplete information"

Nope Mine says "We have mailed you out a package March 8th blah blah blah". They must of not opened our envelope yet. But I will be calling the AVR often today to see if that msg changes. Praying!

I have to find Sachinky post but its 2-3days for them to open the mail right?

I called AVR on the 16th morning, and it said I got an RFE. Then I called the operator and the lady told me what it was.

The email I received only on the 17th night.

I didn't wait the email to send the RFE though.

Yes, about 3 days I'd say.

BY AVR you will find out faster. The mail will come 3-4 days after.

I guess that answers my questions. So I should expect my mail to be reviewed around Mon or Tue if they received it on the 17th or?

Live operator for sure. There is a humor that the AVR is messed up and it will fixed by next Wednesday.

About reviewing your documents.... it's different. They will probably update the AVR saying they received your RFE by Tuesday, then to really review it is taking around 10 business days. Sachi sent her RFE on the 2nd and didn't get a case complete yet.

I really hope they will speed up, since it's only an RFE, but this is the time frame we are looking at right now.

This is off the topic but a quick questions to ppl w/SO in India.

When mailing something to India do you use regular post office and/or Fed Ex?

Tell her to send the new one as soon as she gets it, and also to mail you a new DS230 with the correct school information on it.

Did you try to correct yourself last night, or you just sent as it is?

I corrected it before I sent it, just very neatly wrote in the missing stuff. I planned to have her do a new ds230 and just send it along with the new NBI to I have them here when/if the RFE shows up. I'm sure it will but I'll have the fingers crossed that it doesn't Thanks Mrs!! I hope all of you that have been waiting so long get this over with soon!!!

When mailing out hubbys DS230 packet, are you suppose to include your own birth certificate too or just hubbys?

If the number matches with your W2/tax return they you should be fine.

If it's different, then expect an RFE. Somebody got RFEd this past week because the numbers didn't match.

I though so too but then the lawyers wife tried telling me that they might need mine too. But we didnt sent it because I didn't have it with me.

Well, I though I didn't but then realized I did but anyways good thing it wasn't sent. Dont want to cause confusion thats not needed
