I'm quite sure the PCC has to go in with the IV packet. You can of course send in your DS230 as planned and then get RFE'd for it. In the meantime, procure the document so you can send it in when the RFE comes in. It's absolutely up to you.

Chances are you will need your NOA2/IV bill payment to show in order to get that PCC. Most places will only issue the PCC once they have some documentary proof that it is in fact needed.

Please ask some Japanese VJers or check out the regional boards.

yeah i posted in the japan section, hopefully someone is active and is knowledgeable.

you definitely need proof that you need it. they are also very slow, have very limited hours, and i am unsure about it all. the NVC will NOT send me some sort of documents telling you to get this? it is just expected that you will understand from the website?

i think the tokyo people want the I-130 or your DS-230. i HOPE we could just use the noa2 and bill. that would be easiet for sure!!

Well, you could, like I said before, send in your IV package and wait for the RFE. The RFE will have that marked and then you could get your PCC, but that's looking like a month before you can send them in.

AVR has been updated.... msg now says... Your case has been completed on March 18th, plz allow 8 weeks for further instruction

how am I going to find out when the interview is? Calling an operator? NVc/embassy emailing me?.... How long could the scheduling of the interview take? 1 week.. 3 weeks?

Will the embassy email or snail mail my husband? when will he find out where and when to take his medical?

I have another question...<of course> I am planning on being at the interview.. but my hubby is freaking out.. because I told him that I would have to wait outside.. I think he is worried in May's heat that I would be nothing more than a dwindling puddle of sweat when he returned to me... he wants to get an hotel room across the street from the embassy, on the interview day, he would take my passport to show them that I was there, And if I was needed then he would just call my room ask me to come down, in that amount of time he would be there, and then we would both go back to the interview....

This sounds like a reasonable, sane person thinking right?

Ok... so I told hubby he was aggervating me and we shouldnt talk about it right then... I mean... what I was thinking is totaly different... I am flying upteen thousand miles to be with him at interview... to support him... to help him prepare... etc... I know that I cant hold his hand during the interview and that I would have to be waiting somewhere.. and I am totally prepared to have an umbrella, with my cooling neck buddy, some Nimbooz <my FAVORITE> and a good book... and wait... pray... what ever.. I halfway think I can sweet talk my way into the embassy <aka lie> and atleast be sitting in their waiting room, under some shade and a fan... IDK... am I being raational? I would hate to have not listened to my hubby, be melting somewhere and my husband was soo worried about me that he jacks up his interview ....:rofl:

I'm cracking myself up...Hubby says that I just need any excuse to freak out  ... since NVC is over... looks like I am trying to freak out over the interview..

my response... well I freaked out over the NVC process and look where it got us  CC in 8 days... so it looks like my "freak outs" did us some good... Now I will freak out over the interview and lets see if it gets us a visa!!

Sorry to hear that! And all at once! Hope you get approved soon!

What happened to the job? You got family you can stay with till you get your interview & visa?

Sorry to hear this - hoping your paperwork/interview is complete soon, so you can get back to where you belong!

Congrats Melody!!!!

I was listening to the AVR again and it says that they received our checklist response on 3/13, that's a Saturday... Does anyone else think that is weird???

Nope, I have heard Serco (the sub contractors) work on weekends.

Melody - would it hurt to get the hotel room? Better to have it, imo, than to need it and not have it.

About 40 Min. He can go in cuz he dose not have an american passport. so he is sending his friend to go while he waits outside, cuz the embassy guy told him just send it with anyone, and you'll get the visa qucikly. Then he will let me know what happens right away and ill post.

Just let us know when he gets it to the Embassy and we will start worrying with ya!! Well my hubby is suppose to go back to the military station on Monday to see if they are going to release him or not!!!
