Timeline

As far as calls go, they definitely DO log the calls but I doubt they record the entire thing. We've called a bunch so far, everyone's been mostly nice, some more nice than others. When I was calling regarding the RFE, Darnell had told me that it was nearly impossible to get it out of an operator, so I was extra nice, polite and friendly. I chatted with the lady about the power situation in her house, weather in NH and her kids. I then asked her if she could please tell me what the RFE was about since I'd been freaking out all weekend. She told me not to worry, it was nothing major, just bank statements. Relieved, I hung up only to realize I didn't know WHOSE bank statements they were talking about. So we did the drill again with another operator, who told me it was for Mr. Sachinky.

The only witch I spoke to was when I had called to ask why I hadn't received the RFE checklist yet since it had been 3 days since the RFE was on the AVR and when could I expect to find it in my email. She started off with "Ma'am," in her best pissy voice so I thought it was best to end the conversation as soon as her lecture was done. So I hung up with a very perky "Thank you, you've been most helpful! Have a superb day!"

Since then my confidence has taken a beating though, so Mr. Sachinky's been making all the calls. Being on hold is his punishment for not following my instructions to the T.

hi All !!

Sachinky i love your post

It's all true about NVC operators . This "MA,aam " thing is the most annoying world to hear from the last year  !! I found it even rude

I think i have enough calls for a while ...

BTW let's see what today gonna bring us

USCIS- 8 months !!

Hi all,

I have been hanging out here the past week, and taking note of the recent trends. My I-130 was approved 4/2009, but I had already given up waiting and moved here to be with my wife. We only recently paid our IV bill and sent in the papers with a recipt date of March 10, 2010. I am not under any time urgency as most of the rest of you are, but I thought I would chime in and add my NVC experience to the rest of the data. Good luck to all and I hope we all have cases completed very soon!

screenshots are easy..just have the window selected...then push ctrl & print screen...then copy to a word document. That's what I do. There might be a different way...but that is how i do it.

For those of you that want to take screen shot of your desktop/chat windows, do yourself a favor and download picasa. Once installed follow the instruction below. It's a really nice program for this purpose.

- Open Picasa. If Picasa isn't open, screen captures won't be imported.

- Press PrtScn on your keyboard to take a screen capture of the entire screen.

- Press the Ctrl and PrtScn keys at the same time to limit your screen capture to the selected window on your screen.

Rian--Our list is arranged by the date NVC received your last package. Not when the AVR says they did. That thing is generally 2-3 days outta whack.

Thanks, HAving seen the discussion the past few days I am fully expecting a RFE. My wife had J-1 visas in ´05 and ´06 and worked in the US for 5 mo each times. Not wanting to appear inconsistant I put these as places she has lived on I think line 30. But we did not include police certificates from the us, only from Argentina. So there are several areas they could and probably will question.
