NVC March 2010 Edition!

I have a questions - how would you proof phone call using VOIP phones i.e. magic jack and ooma. The physical phone is over sea but the number is a US number and i'm not sure how i can use this to proof that we're keeping contact with one another.

Sorry to hear about your RFE. Try to send the missing documents off as soon as you can. There is still hope for you to get a May interview. Your wife and mom can send their papers out, then NVC can start reviewing at least those.

I sent off their 864 forms with the original tax transcripts... i thought i made photocopies of the transcripts, but obviouslyt not, so they can't really fill in those forms until they get new transcripts.

My wife is going through a lot right now as she is performing in two shows as well as working a full time job so for her to find the time to get on the phone to the IRS to fax out the transcripts is seriously asking too much. So we'll have to do the paper form 2 week version.

My police cert shoulkd take about 2 weeks as well. still possible for a may interview, but i'm preparing for a june haha

What kind of voip do you use? I use skype and it's easy to print a sheet with the record of the calls.

magic jack. I'm trying to switch to ooma so my wife parents doesnt have to depend on a pc to talk. with ooma all they have to do is hook the receiver to the router/cable modem. basically their phone act as a regular US land line phone.

I don't know whats going on... when I search it appears the results, but when I click in one it takes me to the Forum's page. Argh!!! I think it has something to do with the new layout?

Anyway, try to search "magic card". I remember people talking about it last week. It may have some helpful information there.

If you use skype, msn, aim, icq, etc.. just provide some screenshots of your conversations. Any and all emails are good. For my wife's K3, I went through the email archives and screenshot about 10 pages. You don't need to include content of email, just display result of email communications, date, and subject heading.

I believe magic jack also has caller ID by time and date, you can screenshot those.

Last, if you have t-mobile, verizon, or sprint's phone bill with calls to your wife, provide those too. You can request or hop online to print.

If you are a little low on supporting docs, you have a bit over a month to begin compiling them. I would say if you do not have a lot of proof, a physical appearance at the interview is best. Seeing is believing.

Thansur, I think your package will arrive by tomorrow afternoon. If everything is smooth and no one takes off early on Friday here, you will receive an email with intervew date Friday night U.S time.

The AVR is slow on updatin.My RFE was delivered on the 11 March but was entered in AVR on the

16March..They are slow man...Gosh..

I do the screen shots thing too. I have a calendar and clock wigdet that are caught with the screen cap and I take one during every conversation. I've been sending 1 every week, she prints it and adds them to her folder. We use magic jack too but I think you're right, there's really no way to prove where the call originated from since it's a US phone number.

Guys, I talked to a friend that was in the NVC stage last year and she said when she received an RFE she made a cover letter and sent it along with the supporting documents by email to NVCinquiry.

She put the cover letter on the body of the email and attached all the documents plus barcoded sheet.

She said they accepted it with no problem.

I wonder if it would be a good idea for me to send a copy of my visa and documents by email as well?

SPSguy - We do have boat load of supporting documents ie. yahoo messenger, emails, video screen shot. I'll try to make it to the interview, but its all depend on how busy i am at work. If i'm going to the interview, we can do lunch/dinner if you're not too busy.

I do hope the package will get there on time for an April interview.

Kevin - thanks. I guess i'll give up using magic jack as a supporting tool. I have the following: photographs, video chat screen captures, emails, chat log. Is this enough?
