NVC March 2010 Edition!

Sachi -> My friend sent her RFE response to NVC on the 02/25 and they put on the system on the 03/02. She just got her appointment letter today for April 13th (interview).

So I guess there is still hope for you guys to get an April date. She has about the same frame than you. So I think you should have your case complete by tomorrow girl!!!

hey guys n gals!

Well, I'm back in Australia from a 4 week stay in California with the Wifey. We had an absolute blast of a time. There wasn't s moment when we weren't doing SOMETHING.

Needless to say, we did a bit of "relaxing" I think I may have even mentioned the time the police rolled up on us while we were 'relaxing' haha anyway, another story for another time.

Seems as though I have about 210 pages to catch up on so, I won't be doing that! Although, I'm sure everyone's case is coming along as smooth as possible.

Ours is coming along, in the sense that people are at least reviewing it. We did, however, receive our RFE's yesterday. Each of us (Me, Wife and Mother-in-law) received RFE's

My RFE was a silly error -> I sent in the wrong type of police certificate. I have had my hands on a visa before when I used to work on a cruise ship. The police certificate required for that was the same as the one i just sent in for CR1. Obviously that was the wrong one, so I have to go to the police station sometime in the next week and organise a new one to send over there...

My Wife's RFE was in regards to her I864. The W2's and her 'current income' didn't match up. Again, a simple mistake as we estimated her current income for this year. she didn't have a w2 from last year as she was here in australia with me.

My mother-in-laws rfe was in regards to the sponsors section on the 864A.

So, basically, we just have to send off another I864 and I864A as well as the appropriate police cert. I think this is going to push us back to at least a june interview!

Sorry to hear about your RFE. Try to send the missing documents off as soon as you can. There is still hope for you to get a May interview. Your wife and mom can send their papers out, then NVC can start reviewing at least those.

But seriously,NVC got's to stop sending out all these RFE's, it's killing the mood in our thread! I should call 'em and tell 'em. Or maybe I should call and get my CC confirmed...I'm just nervous about it,haven't called a single time before (just the AVR). Probably gonna let hubby handle it!

Is it possible that NVC is logging how many time each of us called? I'm getting the impression that they are logging the number of calls we make to NVC. If this is so, is it possible that they are punishing us for it?

I don't think so. They are probably logging the calls in the system, but not punishing I suppose.....

Besides, the operators are not the ones that adjudicates the process, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Anything is possible... but I have never gotten the impression that they were aggervated that I am calling them.. Sachinky posted something about her hubby called them and they had known that he had called a few days prior... SO I assume that maybe they have to make a note on the account everytime we call... but... do they punish us.. I would think not.. I believe that the ppl in the answer bay are totally different then the ppl that are processing our accounts.... dont have proof.. just my opinion

She only told me that she got the letter and when she sent the RFE back....

I havn't called them today. Will give it a try tomorrow and hopefully can find out something and report back some good news. I am watching Tharnsur's case. I don't think my interview email will come before his. Common Tharnsur :-)

vivejay - we're watching each other:) anyway i called nvc last night and the operator i talked to is not very helpful. he gave me the standard "we're only scheduling interview on the second week of each month so call back in 4 weeks blah blah..." btw, has yoru usem response to your email?
