He had his interview. They said they want me to hand write a letter saying that im not required to file for faxes and send it VIA aramex. And that after we send it no longer then 2 weeks, and thats they will do a routin Review they will call my husband to send his passort via Aramex and they will give him the visa.

They looked at all the pictures and he answered everything. The lady told him

"You have everything i dont know why this guy whants you to send this letter, but just let her send it."

Im so depressed. :crying: We sent everything, we had everything that could have asked for!

Congrats! At least you just have to send one last thing and he'll get the visa.

MQ I hope this doesn't come off wrong but I don't think there's any reason for you to be depressed. I think you've had a long journey and you are tired. This sounds like great news to me. He got past the border, did well with the interview, it sounds like an approval, they just want verification on the AOS stuff. So take a nap, write the letter, and send it off. Did they keep his passport? Honestly, it all sounds great to me. Remember, it's standard for the embassy to ask for more in MENA countries. I know when it's our turn, I'm just expecting that they're going to ask for something. Don't know why...just is. BUT be grateful that it isn't any worse (AR, and long AP, or 221g). Honestly, this is GREAT news! Compliment your hubby on a job well done and get some rest. :)

I have another question...sorry guys! For question #44 on part 2 of the DS-230...what constitutes being assisted with the form? We are working on it together but he ultimately will be filling it out himself. Is it a problem to put me down as having assisted him or do I just make him do this all on his own??? (Good lord I hope not because I've spent half the day on this!)But we'll do whatever is right to do.

I answered that one "yes" because I did help my husband fill out the form. He gave me all the answers and I did the paperwork and had him sign it. I am glad I did, because at the interview the CO specifically asked me if I helped him fill out the ds-230 and I told him "of course".

He then in turn asked my husband if he understood everything that was on the form. The beneficiary needs to beable to understand everything on there so I think it "helped" that I helped him fill it out.

Good morning everyone and Happy St. Patrick's Day! May the luck o' the Irish be with us all as we get towards the home stretch.

I am going to venture the question I left with last night but I think everyone had gone to bed already (darned time zones). I noted that many of you stated that with the employment for the last 10 years question #32 on DS-230 many of you said that if the employment did not go back a full 10 years you didn't put in something like "unemployed". I believe Sachi said that she was 13 ten years ago so it didn't make sense. My husband was of working age but in school part of the past 10 years so has anyone heard of an RFE for not putting something down. Also, my husband does contract work and so sometimes there's a period of a couple of months between contracts. Should he put down "unemployed" for those months or can he just list the jobs he has had? So, ok...two questions, but then I think that's it for our questions on DS-230.

Thanks everyone!

morning all!

hopefully there will be some sign in failed todayyyyyyyyyyyy!!!

so husband took his medical today...yay! london - you can take it early. they are going to send it to the embassy though and they won't have his case yet. do you think there will be any problems?????

When I talked to the Embassy in Frankfurt yesterday, they said if they get the medical results before they receive the case they will establish a temporary file until the case arrives then merge the two folders. She said they might cause some confusion, but she said it isn't a reason not to do it early. I can only assume that London handles it in the same way.

See now that is interesting...I do remember reading your post about the interview. That's why I'm wondering what constitutes assistance. My husband is going to fill out the paperwork himself but, as you can tell from my postings, I am asking a bunch of questions to make sure we do this right. I think I'm just going to have him fill it out himself because I don't want it to appear that he didn't do it himself. I was just trying to save him some heartburn but I don't want to open a can of worms in the process. Thanks!
