This thread is hilarious!! you guys kept me entertained (read through from 1st page, page it to page 15 while waiting) as I kept redialing NVC #, after 20 attempts, I got through! After another 10mins I got to speak to an operator!! WOW!! Apparently they just received our case, so no case number assigned. he did take our email addresses.

So he took the email addresses before case # was assigned, and said I'll get an email when its assigned?? Sounds backwards but is that still ok?

Ok, I've got another DS-230 question. With regards to question #32, beneficiary's employment history for the past 10 years, when they ask for location do they just want the city, province, country or do they want the full address? The full address is not fitting on the line so if that's the case then do we need to attach a sheet?

Hey Sachi, good thing they hired new people. Just hope the new ones are well trained and don't cope to send ridiculous RFEs out.

I'm sure you will have your sign in fail soon dear!

I don't know if you saw my update, but my rfe is going to be mailed first thing tomorrow morning.

They also should hire more people at the embassy because they are very slow...

I just got the Instruction packet for Agent email and it says:

As part of the Applicant Document Process, each traveling applicant will be required to return a

DS-230, Application for Immigrant Visa, to the National Visa Center at the following address.

You MUST RETURN THIS PAGE along with the requested documents to:

National Visa Center

ATTN: CMR

31 Rochester Avenue, Suite 100

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

So do I just include this in the packet? I printed the cover sheet from the payment page and I assume this will just go along with it? Should I add it to my cover sheet's list of contents or just stick this in the packet?

Kevin - I believe this is the agent instruction to send in the DS-230. The address on this form and the cover sheet that you printed from the Online Payment Center is different, but i've been told that either address would be fine. To me i would send my package to the above address.

Ok, I've got another DS-230 question. The full address is not fitting on the line so if that's the case then do we need to attach a sheet?

If i remember correctly we just put city, province and country. But if you want to put the full address you can do so with an addendum. Just make sure #32 says see addendum attached. On the addendum list the document and the question number as the header. I hope that helps.

Time to go home. Still no interview email:(

It does help, thank you! Sorry about the lack of email. :(

I have another question...sorry guys! For question #44 on part 2 of the DS-230...what constitutes being assisted with the form? We are working on it together but he ultimately will be filling it out himself. Is it a problem to put me down as having assisted him or do I just make him do this all on his own??? (Good lord I hope not because I've spent half the day on this!)But we'll do whatever is right to do.

I put no. No need to have them question it. I dont think your assistance constitutes "assistance" per se. As long as your husbands a good historian and likely able to do this himself without your help aside from being so far away, then put no. Dont give the NVC any reason to question the validity of the info provided IMO

I am DONE with the DS230- quite possibly the easiest form yet the most DIFFICULT

I just put the city, province and country and didnt geat heat for it, so keep it simple. Remember, monkeys are smarter than the NVC goons who look at this stuff. :bonk:

I agree.

Thanks ats and Mrs. I was thinking along the same lines myself. Ok, one final question (I hope)...with the employment for the past 10 years should he do the same thing as with the residences and so if he started working less than 10 years ago should he put unemployed from say 03-2000 to the date of his first job? I thought I had been reading that many had left it blank prior to the first job but I'm worried about a similar RFE as for question #30 if we leave it out and I know my husband will have the same question.

Hi everyone. I think i have a problem. My husband is in palestine and he need to get A "Pass" to be able to enter were the interview will be held and there telling him he need to bring the IV bill to prove we paid. But i forgot to print it. and i can no longer log it. What should i do?

So - why did you not stay with him until after the interview? That makes absolutely no sense, at all. If you were with him, you would have had small chance to help at the checkpoint. Now, you are not even there.

Thanks very much :)

I think I have all the various documents required by the different forms. (I hope! lol) 3-4 days to get my case..hmm perhaps a call tomorrow to them then to find out :)

Signed Ds230's...hmmm I will have her toss those in the mail to me.

***Edit***

I tried finding out using the USCIS Reciept number in the automated system.(as it says you can).. It kept messing up for some weird reason..and finally told me that It didnt have a record of my case. I am assuming thats it will actually tell me...or do I actually want to talk to a person?

If you are just starting out -

you qualify for NVC Electronic Processing because the interview will be in Montreal.
