You guys want to laff your rears off?

Well, I had a panic attack, rushed down stairs, ripped open my FedEx pack and applied moisture to the signatures on the original DS230, because I was afraid I sent two copies. Im a nervous wreck.:rofl: The receptionist looked at me like I had DONE lost my mind entirely.

Anyway, a new FedEx envelope later, Its in the bin, ready to head out.

Well I got the AOS packet sent. FedEx will deliver it before 10:30am tomorrow. Friday I'll get the IV packet sent, Monday delivery I'd guess.

Kev, since your sending your packets in seperate, keep in mind that they may throw you a False RFE lookin for you IV package. Dont freak out! Just keep trucking...

Ok. Update from The Husband.

Apparently, they're still "processing" our RFE.

They HAVE hired 150 new workers to cope with the extra pressure on NVC so expect RFE processing to go quickly from this week onward.

Once my husband explained the case of the 2 RFEs, the operator, said that, while she couldn't say for certain, it seemed like they were processing the first one. And that no, we won't be issued another RFE. (Seriously, you wouldn't believe the kind of worst-case scenarios I was dreaming up).

She also said to disregard the AVR until the next week until it syncs up.

We wait. Again. So what's new, folks?

FireRay--Hi and Welcome!

Here's Christeen's time tested formula to get you through NVC in one piece alive:

Petitioner: Get NVC # + give operator your email IDs + receive AOS fee bill + pay 70$ online + wait to show paid + print cover sheet + send I-864 AOS with all documents and case # written on each page.

Beneficiary: Get NVC# + receive DS3032 + send DS3032+ DS3032 accepted + IV fee bill available to be paid + pay & wait to show paid + print IV cover sheet + mail DS230 package with all original/certified documents

= wait for case complete + wait for interview to be scheduled.

Suggestions:

1) Have the beneficiary mail SIGNED extra DS230s to you so that you have them handy in case something goes wrong. Or you get hit by a dreaded RFE.

2) If you just received your NOA2, THIS is the time to get your tax stuff and police certificates sorted out. Don't waste time on this.

3) Double check the PCC requirements in the regional forums as they are country specific.

4) Check out the stupid RFE pinned thread BEFORE sending out your packages.

Currently the # of business days NVC is taking:

3-4 days for NVC to receive your case and assign a case #.

3-4 days to receive emailed links after case # has been assigned and email addresses been given to NVC operator.

1-2 days for the AOS bill to show as PAID.

1-3 days for DS3032 to be accepted.

3-4 days for IV bill to be PAID.

8-11 days for case complete after all your documents have been sent in.

Thanks very much :)

I think I have all the various documents required by the different forms. (I hope! lol) 3-4 days to get my case..hmm perhaps a call tomorrow to them then to find out :)

Signed Ds230's...hmmm I will have her toss those in the mail to me.

***Edit***

I tried finding out using the USCIS Reciept number in the automated system.(as it says you can).. It kept messing up for some weird reason..and finally told me that It didnt have a record of my case. I am assuming thats it will actually tell me...or do I actually want to talk to a person?

Well, thats some relief I guess, that they are going to have extra staff to get things moving. AND its good news that you got some relief that they wont be issuing another RFE. You are not alone in your freak out dream sequences... I have dreamt up quite a few myself. For a while I was staring at my husbands birth certificate, hoping we had his mothers date of birth correct. Mind you, they didnt even RFE us on anything but the question 30. pooooo. So, no AVR till next week huh? Well, for us, that means checking FRIDAY!

Hey Sachi, good thing they hired new people. Just hope the new ones are well trained and don't cope to send ridiculous RFEs out.

I'm sure you will have your sign in fail soon dear!

I don't know if you saw my update, but my rfe is going to be mailed first thing tomorrow morning.

Kevin--That's your false RFE (email checklist) for your DS230. You can either use that cover sheet. Or your IV bill cover sheet when you send in your DS230 packet next Monday.

I'd ignore it and proceed as planned.

Good luck!
