Ats--Sorry about the RFE. They are super strict about that one. I'm glad you were prepared and hopefully you can just overnight it tonight.

I'd leave the unemployment part alone. My employment only covered 4 years, because, well, ten years ago I was thirteen. I just started from my first job.

If your unsure about how to fill in the residence part, put down the dates and residence, and I'll try to help you. Do it from the time he turned 16.

Aneudy--Good luck! I hope you get your date soon!

They told me that all interviews for April Month were scheduled...

He told me to call in a month!:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:

Sorry to hear that. Didn't they say first date you could call would be the 10th? Wonder if that goes by day of the week or by date? I would call April 7th, since March 10th was the Wednesday in the second week of March. All they can tell you if it is wrong is to call back on the 14th.

I'm here. Sorry, I'm eating dinner as I type. You need to calm down.

Once you fill up the DS230, post here and I'll tell ya how to mail it in.

There you are! Ok.. leaving unemployment part ALONE. DUMB question.. he was born on 10/12/1982... so do I put 10/1998 .. is my math right for him being 16? I want another set of eyes on this... part of me wants to start from his date of birth, but the NVC stated they just want from when he was 16... I just dont want them screwin with the math. Is it to early to drink?

Yes 10/1998. List all the places he's lived in.

You have blank signed DS230s from him, right?

Aneudy--Sorry man, I think Estrella did tell us that the DR is backlogged severely.

Now once that DS230 is done, print out your IV cover sheet. Write your own cover letter. I'd also explain #30 in words so that they don't miss it. And then address it to the place where your DS230 package went, except just change the ATTN to ATTN: DR.

You can also wait to send it out with the RFE checklist as it looks like Jamaica is booked for April anyway. Should be there in your email inbox in about 2 days from whenever your RFE was issued.

OK! Calling all VJ'rs... I got my RFE. I was anticipating it and its here and a nice guy named Ethan explained to me last night that it was the dreaded question 30. He said they only want us to list from the time my husband turned 16- So I will make the change. HERES MY QUESTION to you all..

So, I was lookin at his employment part. Hes been with the same employer since 11/2000. Thats just shy of the ten year mark. Before that he was unemployed as he just got out of highschool. Our original DS230 just showed his current employer. But should I now put "unemployed/student" for the year making it a complete ten years or.... ahhh!!! They didnt say anything, but should I change that? Or just leave it. Technically, it wont be ten years until November 2000 - I guess I just dont want to get another RFE if they catch that part.

Also, since they said they only want from when he turned 16 in the residence part, should I go ahead and just list since his date of birth like you all have? I am so paranoid and just want to ensure this is the last time I send this in. Help guys!!! :help::help:

Sorry to hear about your REF. But you were expecting it. Hopefully you can send what they want soon. Its better not to leave any gaps. But I don't know anymore.

Ats -------- I will leave the employment section as is. She had only 2 years of work experiance and thats all I put in there. For question 30 I started from the age of 16 without any gaps in where she lived up to present.

Anyway good news is this its an easy RFE to fix and everything else in the packet looks good. Please don't freak out. Need you to be calm while you fill out the new DS-230.
