Congrats on the SIF's and to the ones with known interview dates.

Sachi, Mrs W and Ats - hang in there! It has been a long slow process, but the there is light at the end of the tunnel - and it's not a train. Look how far you have come since you mailed the I-130 off. It truly is almost over. I know the last days are the hardest, and you just want it to be over. Sachi - believe me, I understand your frustration at your husband over something so minor (mine gave the wrong name for the police certificatees, so we are waiting on the new ones).

And if you need to vent - don't apologize - this is the place to do so. Isn't that what this forum is all about? Mutual support, total understanding?

Anyway, back to work for me. DON'T give up!

hey...so are you all going through the Electronic Processing at NVC? how has been the experience? is it simple or complicated? have any of you been having any technical difficulties like having huge files to attach...etc etc...just wondering...I am debating whether I should go for E-processing when my time comes around...thanks!

hi,

I called this morning and the AVR said that wait for further notice. you know it is much better to talk to NVC operator if u have a question. they will help and do not hesitate to ask people here. they are very nice and helpful. :)

before you send a package you should make sure that you meet their requirements so that you are not going to receive an RFE. and keep reading

goodluck

Hi guys, i just checked the NVC site today and its positive Sign In Failed!!!!   Thank You Lord.... :D

congrats!!! :) :) :) :) :)

Firstly, a huge congratulations to CP2009 and SPSGuy on your interview dates! How awesome!

The Wrests--Congrats on your log in failed! :)

My news: No news. I can still sign in. I give up. I don't care anymore. I'm going to stop logging in, calling the AVR, eventually the interview date will be in my email and I will know that I'm done. I'm tired of this constant stressing and this daily heartbreak first thing in the morning. This is ridiculous. How can 2 bank statements that have apparently been under review since 03/05 take this freakin' long? And I know I shouldn't be, but I can't help but be mad at my husband for overlooking something as simple as bank statements that I explicitly mentioned in his AOS contents checklist. We could've been done by now and even had our interview dates in our pockets by now. GAH. GAH. GAH. I haven't seen him in 205 days and I want to die. :crying:

omg. 205 days!??!? i don't know how you're doing it! keep the faith - almost there!!!!!

Thanks for the support, guys. I just needed to vent.

I'm trying to be patient. I really am. It's just that this entire process has been screwed up from the start. At least for us. Right from the beginning. We lost a month because some USCIS drone had cancelled our petition for incorrect filing even though it had gone to the correct lockbox. So we lost a month even before we started and our NOA1 was issued. Our NOA2 took 118 days. When I started, NOA2s were being approved in 4-5 weeks. Those hopes were soon dashed. NVC was the only thing we could control and I've been prepared for this since October. Really. I got my PCCs, all our packets were ready, they were only dated and signed and sent out once the bills were paid.

I bugged my husband to get his employment letter, his tax stuff and all of that was ready in November. The reason I asked him to include the bank statement is because a copy of our joint bank account was sent in with our I-130 petition as bonafide evidence. I think NVC wanted to see an updated one as that was 6 months ago. Most people get through NVC in about 4 weeks -- despite our preparation it's now been a month and a half that we're stuck waiting here. I know there's nothing we can do. I just hope we get a case complete this week (maybe tomorrow/Wednesday) and I believe I will have an early May interview assigned in the last week of March.

I think it's worse because I haven't seen him at all since our wedding. Flights are long and expensive and he'd need at least 2 weeks off from work to visit India. Plus, the time difference is a royal PITA. We mostly talk on the weekends, also I've practically given up on sleep so we make do with what we have.

I wish all of you luck in being reunited with your spouses soon. It helps to know we're not alone in this journey. (L)

Hi Sach,

Just a note on that - we included a joint bank statement with our I-130 petition to show bonafide as well. However we did not include it in our AOS packet and they did not request it - it was approved without...So I'm not sure why they wanted yours...

Sachi,

Think positive everything will be ok! you will be with your hubby! I feel for you and everybody know what you feel.

I remember when we started in this process i keep bugging my hubby and I told him that If you dont send that package today then Im not going to talk to u for 2 weeks . He was worried so he sent that right away. It was immature. Im rushing him because I really want to be with himso bad. Everyday when i wake up im wishing that he is next to me and looking into my eyes. and there is no second that im not thinking our memories. Its really hard to be too far from ur loved one .I havent seen him for 8 month. But i want to be strong and positive. i know that this waiting will be finish and everyone of us will be end up to happy ending and live happily ever after...

love

Rian

I don't know who this Darell guy on here is not that I really care but let me clear something up;

Yes, I am working with an attorney through this whole process. My attorney is not from India so if I ever ask questions its;

a. attorney is busy cannot get back to me soon enough

b. He is not from India (I repeat) (even though I am sure he has worked with that Embassy before)

c. (the most important reason) Because I CAN!

If it bothers anyone that I ask questions, you can simply ignore them & don't have to answer.

Last thing I need in this whole stressful process is to have to explain myself to anyone here and/or have an online argument.

I am all like all of you here, trying to get my SO other home! Please try to be a little bit more understanding!

Thank you all who has been helpful along the way so far! Its very much appreciated and as always GOOD LUCK ON YOUR CASES!!!!!

awwww dear.... dont entertain anyone that just wants to argue or belittle ya... it is soo not worth it... I know that there aare several ppl on here that maybe have become "old" and cranky and in my opinion should retire from VJ. But saying that there are hundreds of other ppl that have no issues answering questions... like Sachinky... how many times has she had to post the same answer to a question??? And as far as your lawyer goes... is it really any of anyones elses buisness? You will just have to ignore the VJ members that dont have anything nice to say.. it really isnt worth the time invested into it.. chin up and concentrate on your goal... having hubby here with you and your little girl....

I called the AVR today and they said that they have received the "checklist items and are reviewing them", if you remember, we got the false RFE for the DS-230. This must mean that they are reviewing our DS-230 as of 3/13. I'm so excited!

On a side note, if you thought it was tough getting through to the NVC, try calling the consulate, I had to call 3 times and talk to 2 different receptionist before one told me the specific time to call, otherwise they just send you do dead end extensions with messages that say to hang up and call back later.

Wow, great news, I got through to a SUPER nice lady at the Consulate in Frankfurt (they only answer questions Tues and Thurs from 2pm-4pm...) She said it's no problem if my wife has her interview ahead of them getting our paperwork, the only confusion that could arise is that they'll start a temporary file for the medical, then have to combine it with the file that they create when her documents show up from the NVC.

I then asked her how April was looking for interviews, she told me that they haven't scheduled any April interviews as this is one of the slowest parts of the year and the whole month is wide open. I'm praying for case complete this week and an April interview.
