SPSguy - does your interview email include DS-2053?

No.

Just includes a checklist of what we need to bring to the interview and a reminder of the medical checkup.

Don't worry, the DS 2053 is provided by the hospital when they complete the checkup. In Cambodia, you have two options approved by embassy: SOS int'l and IOM hospital.

They will mail the form along with everything else to the embassy. All you need to do is provide them with the interview letter.

For my wife's K3 interview, we made sure to request in advance a copy of the DS 2053, and we'll do it again for the coming interview.

This form is needed for future medical needs and to start medical record in the U.S.

**** filed K3/CR1 concurrently. My wife and I both work/live overseas. The following timeline continues from the approval of the K3 VISA.

SPSguy - that's great advise. I'll make sure that we do the same. The only problem is we don't know how to go about to get that extra copy of the DS-2053. According to my wife, the IOM is very close to her house so that's probably where she'll be getting hers done.

Thanks.

Hi,

I was wondering.... how did you get that list?

Thanks

The list is in PDF from the US Embassy in Cambodia. I convert it to txt and sort it by date just so i can see how many cases are being interviewed on each day. I'm not sure if your Embassy publish interview schedule like Cambodia.

It's easy. when your wife goes in for the checkup, tell OIM that she wants a copy of the completed form. They will copy one for her.

Actually, I jumped the gun earlier. The medical examiner will not be mailing or sending the DS 2053 to the embassy. They will put the form and everything else in a red envelope and hand to your wife. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO TAKE THE ENVELOPE to the interview.

At the interview, the consulate will open the packet in front of you.

Also, just learned this morning, that the visa is good for 6 months from the date of medical checkup. I thought it was good from date of interview, but proven wrong. So if your situation is like ours ( most likely not ) where we want to enter the U.S. around Christmas time, we will want to delay the checkup 'til near the interview date. But not so near that a slight problem could cause delay into your interview.

Firstly, a huge congratulations to CP2009 and SPSGuy on your interview dates! How awesome!

The Wrests--Congrats on your log in failed! :)

My news: No news. I can still sign in. I give up. I don't care anymore. I'm going to stop logging in, calling the AVR, eventually the interview date will be in my email and I will know that I'm done. I'm tired of this constant stressing and this daily heartbreak first thing in the morning. This is ridiculous. How can 2 bank statements that have apparently been under review since 03/05 take this freakin' long? And I know I shouldn't be, but I can't help but be mad at my husband for overlooking something as simple as bank statements that I explicitly mentioned in his AOS contents checklist. We could've been done by now and even had our interview dates in our pockets by now. GAH. GAH. GAH. I haven't seen him in 205 days and I want to die. :crying:

Sachiiiii, nooooo! Don't worry, I want to ki** my husband too for causing us our delay!!! I have had a few passive-aggressive jabs to him about it. Believe me it's not helping any! I should've been done with this and had an interview scheduled by last week! But you have to let it go, it will drive you insane. I'm sorry, I don't know what the hell is going on at the NVC. It's not the 18th yet, but we really do make life harder by this obsessing/checking/calling. To repeat, I did say WE, I am guilty too. I still check the payment page for fun once a day and I have an RFE!! Lmao! I had a really bad stress fight with my honey last week, and the stress of our fight made me realize how much I adore him and how perfect he is for me. It kind of kicked my butt and I stopped feeling sorry for MYSELF and am just happy I found him. I'm sure your husband is saying the same annoying things..."be patient", "don't worry", "we'll be together" and my favorite tonight..."stay off that website, it's driving you crazy!" lol

Nothing can make you feel better-I UNDERSTAND.....WE UNDERSTAND! No advice, just stay busy and try not to argue with your hubby. :crying:

Sorry girl, stay strong my VJ timeline sister!!

I did not send any bank statement in with the AOL packet. What I did send in was a tax transcript. Nothing else is required. For people sending in tax returns, I recommend getting a tax transcript instead. Call the IRS and have them fax to you. It's not worth going back and forth over W2 forms and other income verificatio hassle. That is all that is needed unless you are using assets to meet the income req'd, in which case copies of statements, stock holdings, and other assets may be needed.

Please afford your husband some patience and understanding. This process can be a bit crazy. I have helped people with their immigration problems and some have had to wait two years to pass NVC. The immigration process is a formal process and things must be done right. Rememember, what they are doing is "offering" you a new life in America. It will be worth it in the end.

Thanks for the support, guys. I just needed to vent.

I'm trying to be patient. I really am. It's just that this entire process has been screwed up from the start. At least for us. Right from the beginning. We lost a month because some USCIS drone had cancelled our petition for incorrect filing even though it had gone to the correct lockbox. So we lost a month even before we started and our NOA1 was issued. Our NOA2 took 118 days. When I started, NOA2s were being approved in 4-5 weeks. Those hopes were soon dashed. NVC was the only thing we could control and I've been prepared for this since October. Really. I got my PCCs, all our packets were ready, they were only dated and signed and sent out once the bills were paid.

I bugged my husband to get his employment letter, his tax stuff and all of that was ready in November. The reason I asked him to include the bank statement is because a copy of our joint bank account was sent in with our I-130 petition as bonafide evidence. I think NVC wanted to see an updated one as that was 6 months ago. Most people get through NVC in about 4 weeks -- despite our preparation it's now been a month and a half that we're stuck waiting here. I know there's nothing we can do. I just hope we get a case complete this week (maybe tomorrow/Wednesday) and I believe I will have an early May interview assigned in the last week of March.

I think it's worse because I haven't seen him at all since our wedding. Flights are long and expensive and he'd need at least 2 weeks off from work to visit India. Plus, the time difference is a royal PITA. We mostly talk on the weekends, also I've practically given up on sleep so we make do with what we have.

I wish all of you luck in being reunited with your spouses soon. It helps to know we're not alone in this journey. (L)

Did you send 6mo worth of pay stubbs?

No.

I did not send that in either. It's not required for AOS. I basically sent a copy of my oversea employment contract which really doesn't do much for me since the income is considered negative income. I had to use a co-sponsor that is self-employed. All I sent for his part was three years tax transcript and a copy of his business name and license.

**** filed K3/CR1 concurrently. My wife and I both work/live overseas. The following timeline continues from the approval of the K3 VISA.
