NVC March 2010 Edition!

Congrats Tharnsur on the LIF. I see that "another" package left the NVC on March 12 to PP, Cambodia. It's possible that it's yours.

For everyone else, your time will come. Take a break and don't call NVC until a week or two has passed AFTER you have sent in your package.

For me, I still havce not recevied any email about the interview. I'll wait a week or two after the package from NVC arrives at consulate. My guess is that the longest wait will be the interview. Some people have waited three months for their interview. So I'm not confident ours will be in April. Urgggh!!

Hope the rest of you folks are able to get your stuff out of the door and get on our waiting list!

Those with current RFEs -- were you able to sort them out? When are you hoping to mail them out? I know Estrella is mailing hers today!

i really hope to have good news in the morning when I wake up...of course it will probably be a day or 2...probably by wednesday I am figuring. I will talk to an operator tomorrow anyway....i need to see if they have made a decision on my expedite request.

Yea. I hope so. I am also getting nervous as I just sent in my AOS packet on Friday. I really hope they won't find anything missing. Did you send yours already?

i also just went in and added mine and my father's W2 forms for 2009. i just hope that having those in there don't cause inconsistency problems with annual incomes. since it varies from year to year. would this raise red flags?

sachinky - i'm praying for you and everyone on that list:) Your SIF is way overdue.

I guess the new VJ layout is starting to grow on me. It's much easier to search on the forums:)

SPSguy - I hope that's my package:) I'm hoping and praying that we both have an April interview date. I'm still undecided if i should attend the interview with my wife. Would you happen to know if it's possible for the USC petitioner attending the interview with the beneficiary?

I didn't have any problem attending my wife's K3 interview. If you are worried, just bring something for the consulate to notorize at the same time your wife is having her interview. You wait in the same room and same place. When they call you up just go get a notarize, and if they call your wife, just walk up with her. During my wife's K3 interview, I sat waiting while my wife was being interviewed the first 45 seconds. Then, they called me up and asked a few questions and said, "I don't have a problem issing you a visa."

Being there made the entire interview process that much easier and any/all issues related to a non-bonofide marriage is eliminated. The consulate end up asking 95% of the questions to me.

Please keep me posted if you receive email from NVC re. the interview.

talk about give someone a heartattack!!! AOS has been processed and completed... it was a false RFE... issued because DS-230 hadnt been processed yet, the operator told me that they recieved the DS-230 on March 9th and to wait 2 weeks to recieve a case complete

I did receive my RFE email on Friday and the wife has submitted the request for the PCC this Monday morning. They told her they will come over for the field inquiry within 7 days and then the PCC will be issued shortly after. I am guessing it will be the 26th before I can get the RFE response to the NVC. Unless the Police office in India gets to it quickly.

Sach, my wife did try to ask them if "additional fees" will help speed it up, , but they said no.I guess it was because they sitting inside the actual police commissioner's office. I'm sure the field officer will be able to work his magic with some cash....
