Next question... he is moving on march 15th and I will not be sending in the aos package till after that..

so when he moves he needs to call NVC and tell them about the change of address...

now because he is changing his address before he files the aos does he still need to file form i-865 sponsers change of address

How many of you think the Payment Portal should be expanded to include a case status update piece to it so we don't have to call NVC and try 15 times just to get to the AVR and be on hold for a half hour to talk to someone and find out the status hasn't changed?

Sustained. But then again, it would take the hair pulling frusteration element out of it that has us all losing weight and aquiring substance abuse problems in the interim!

Im still freaking out about this unsigned police certificate BS. I guess Ill just send it as is.

Im worried about Sachinky.

No he is not the us citizens child by birth. We filed two i-130's and yes we have two seperate cases. I did call and give an email for my case and called back and found out that they used my husbands email for my sons case email. I am guessing that means that they joined them?

This is complicated for me, So do i treat this as two seperate cases and follow the directions as if i was doing two cases or do i treat this as one case?

It's two seperate cases. IIRC, though - for AOS - it's the single fee - ie - 70 bucks to cover two casefiles.

Hang In There !

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Not Me !!!

If you track the online payment portal, IMO, it's enough. Gives you a visual indication.

Sadly, it doesn't give you a visual indication of 'what to do next' - but...

this is usc's address, right?

IMO - you need to get really pro-active about that - cause 'at the end' - yer greencard shows up at this address.

But - no need to get 'pro-active', today. or even on the 15th of March.

Include small note about change of address with the AOS package and the IV package.

Put those 'new addresses' on the rest of the forms, also.

Check it on interview day. If it's not the right address, have them change it.

Check it again on POE, with CBP ppl. If it's not the correct address, update it again.

If it's not right in their computer, ask them to open the sealed envelope - the letters you included about the change of address should be in there - they can manually eye-ball it then and there.

Sure - sending in the I-865 is supposed to be useful, but I keep reading posts about 'where the #### is my green card?' and I'm getting peeved about it. It's only data, why the #### can't this data be tracked?

ok - rant off..

Happy Monday !!

on a lighter note - I hope SaChinKy got absconded by aliens for the day, whisked away into a full kitchen, forced to cook chicken curry for 300 people (errr. aliens) - so she can have a day of 'focusing on something else' instead of this stupid RFE.

Darnell,

What times did you say the AVR gets updated daily?

3:30 and 10:30 was it?

no no - it's the payment portal updates. 3:00 PM and 10:00 PM, daily. Eastern Standard Time.

Not the AVR thingie.

In the past, the AVR 'data' seemed (emphasis on seemed) lagged, comparing it to the payment portal data.

Ok. now i m officially confused. Do I have show my relationship with the co-sponsor? I would like to know where does this state in NVC website or paper work? I thought Co-sponsor could be anyone with an acceptable income and citizenship/permanent residence.

OK think about it c0305.gifwhy would they just let you put down a stranger that you dont know. By law that person has to say that they are responsible for your beneficiary and you have to show how you know them and how you guys are related not by family but at least good friends.

my mom was my co-sponsor for my hubby and I sent my BC showing she was my mother on it.

They NVC aint no joke so before you question them, make sure everything is checked and double checked they will RFE you fast........

Wow, cant believe the wait time was less than one minute. I was able to get through to an operator in under 30 seconds!!

Anywho, she said one of my two packages was opened and is under review, she cant say which one. My AOS and 230 packets were delivered on the 22nd and 23rd respectively and one of them was opened on the 25th while another is still languishing in the mail room. That's my update. At least there has been some activity.

If you wanna call them, now is the time....

Removal of Conditions:

07/02/2012 - Sent I-751 packet via USPS

07/05/2012 - Packet delivered

07/09/2012 - Check cashed!

I have not yet received the DS 3032 accepted email, but the portal now shows that the IV bill is invoiced and ready to be paid. Should I pay it now, or wait for the email?
