I am! I am! Last update before I turn in.

Called the AVR. Finally says "Checklist received on 03/11" -- this must be the RFE we sent in again, this time with the RFE barcoded cover sheet, just to be on the safe side. Which was delivered Monday morning, 03/08. The first one we sent in with the AOS barcoded coversheet (delivered on 03/02) has been under review since 03/05, apparently, according to the three different operators we've spoken to. Which means it's time for a case complete, eitherways.

Hopefully, there will be good news once I wake up. I will pop a vein if I have to live through another weekend, not knowing. Night ya'll.

Update...

....there is none. Called AVR - same thing since beginning of the week. "the NVC has received the checkllist response on March 5.. blah blah blah"

I wont get news I bet till Monday.

Someone run down the RFE protocol with me again in case they slap me?

Do I just send a new form with the same IV cover letter with a letter of explanation, or should I wait for their email. Do I need to send to a different address (attention DR) or should I just use same address I used for the DS230.

I want to be READY to roll if this comes thru. AND IF IT DOESNT, and they let me slide, I am personally sending each and every one of you a cookie basket.:D

Here you go, dear.

RFE (Request For Evidence) NOTES from the LingChe guides:

Stay on top of your case during your stay in NVC so you catch an RFE as soon as it pops up.

IF YOU ARE NOT SURE THAT YOU HAVE AN RFE, USE CAUTION. The RFE advice below is under review. A VJ member has reported that they know of instances where sending in RFE information has delayed cases. We are waiting for specific information on these instances, and until such time we caution all users of the guide to use their best judgement in responding to a "possible RFE".

If you review your packages, you might even find an RFE before NVC does, and can send the correction at anytime.

When reviewing your package, it's helpful to know some common RFE as linked here as well as searching the forums.

If you are issued an RFE, send the required documents.

IF YOU CONFIRM WITH NVC THAT YOU HAVE AN RFE, DISREGARD THE WARNING ABOVE.

BARCODED cover sheet you printed from the website, but when addressing your package, change the Attention line from "ATTN: CMR" to "ATTN: DR"

Your own Cover Sheet listing the documents you're sending and reason.

Include the documents missing or corrected based on operator suggestion and your own common sense.

After so much running around and sweating over gathering all the paper work, I am going to send in my AOS packet today. My brother who is the co-sponsor is out of country and I had to find all the missing documents he forgot to leave with me.

I went over all the paper work more than 8 times now and hopefully they won't sent me any RFE for this.

Thank you so much for all your help guys..

I was searching at the Chennai website and they have the IV packet online: http://chennai.usconsulate.gov/pdfs/packet...cants091027.pdf

I don't know if you could bring that to the police station and show the part they require the PCC.

Maybe it's worth the shot. Say that you (or your wife?) is applying for immigrant visa and these are the required documents. I don't know how strict they are, but maybe this will suffice.

Good luck!

Thanks Sach and Mrs.

I'll ask my wife to go and try with these and some cash tomorrow and see if they "buy" it...

:) It would be a sweet thing to send! Who knows.. I might just be lucky and they overlook the blunder. However, with they way they are, I doubt it.

Mrs.. your golden! I see a CC for both you and Sach ANY DAY. I kinda wish it was Wednesday.. so we'd have two more days to see these fall in place. Tharsur, Sach, Mrs.. etc. etc.

Sach has a list somewhere of how long it takes to review once all is in, something like 7-10 days?

Isn't "case complete" and "log in fail" the same thing? I thought case complete was just an AVR update and not necessarily another step in the process.
