hey GUYS! can you help me here? i am getting flustered and confused!!

I paid the AOS bill, status is paid on the site. So I can print the cover sheet and receipt now! BUT

the IV bill is already available to be clicked on to pay it!!!! should i PAY it NOW??? before i get an email from the NVC????? will that be a bad thing to do???

then, for the AOS bill, i print the cover sheet and send that WITH the bill statement AND the 1-864 forms together????? or WHAT???

I would like to do this all today, so if someone could let me know this afternoon i would be so grateful!!!! THANKS!!!

I paid as soon as it showed not paid and I was able to pay. the actual email came a couple days later. As far as sending the I-864...I just sent it with the coversheet and the I-864 stuff .

I called today to see if a supervisor could override the need for the second police certificate and ended up speaking with a rude operator and an even more rude supervisor. This is how our conversation went:

................

I'm sorry you got such a bad operator.

Anyway, are you saying you need an email from NVC to be able to get the PCC?

Did you check your embassy's website?

In Brazil the American embassy has that 'email' on their website. You can fill it out with the beneficiary's name, print it out and show at the police station.

I don't know if it will help, since is written in Portuguese, but you can have an idea how it looks like and search on your embassy's website:

http://www.embaixadaamericana.org.br/evrybody/felix.pdf

Hope you are able to get it online!!!!!

Good luck!!!

I hear ya friend! I'm obsessing... hubby said I'm losing my mind over this!!!

I'm worried about getting an RFE. I don't even have the courage to call the 3pm AVR update!!! Arghhhh

One thing I saw in my DS230 is for school... when they ask diploma or degree, the @ss here put yes/no.

For example:

High school -> yes

College -> yes

ESL -> no

Do you know what I mean? For those courses that I didn't get a diploma/degree I put no, for the rest yes :wacko:

Hope the person who is reviewing my documents have a brain and realize it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH! Man.. see! We are all so on edge.. Im trying to finda way to CALM DOWN..

I also am ashamed to say that I don't have the courage to call the AVR anymore. That one RFE just totally did me in. It STILL haunts me.

I can't take the pressure anymore either, Ats. I'm going to eat some ice-cream, catch up on LOST, and then try and get ten hours of sleep in.

SACH.. sounds like a plan friend. ICE cream and some pampering. Do it and ENJOY get some rest, we will be here when you wake!

Deep breaths :o I am also expecting and RFE but just think how sweet it would be if we got a case complete instead! :D I am trying to stay as positive as possible, March 27 is our 1 year anniversary and I am already upset about not seeing him, so I figure stay calm and cool and everything will work out in the end... Well saying it sure sounded good, now I just have to do it. :lol:

Girl! Ours is May 28! I will just be miserable if were not done by our first anniv. UGH. We are all here to support eachother! Go NVC.. (Go to hell anyway) :devil:

SJ--Try it with the NOA2, and the State Department's list of requirements. And some speed money. If that fails, you'll have to wait for the email RFE. When did they say they sent it out again?

I was searching at the Chennai website and they have the IV packet online: http://chennai.usconsulate.gov/pdfs/packet...cants091027.pdf

I don't know if you could bring that to the police station and show the part they require the PCC.

Maybe it's worth the shot. Say that you (or your wife?) is applying for immigrant visa and these are the required documents. I don't know how strict they are, but maybe this will suffice.

Good luck!

Going over hubbys DS230 & trying to see if he made errors or not.

Question #30 hubby put the place he has lived since 16 but he lived in India from age 16 to March 2005 (sorry still have to do the math) so I list India twice then? Because he want back in May 2009 & is still there.

Question #32 For job location, do I need to write a complete address or just city & state?

Question #33 Under Degree or Deploma he wrote SSC (1 school), SYJC (2nd school) & Hotel Managment (3rd school). He is sleeping now so I can ask him what those abbreviations mean but should I leave it at that?

Ack! the dreaded #30

Lots of people are using all four lines of that question starting with date of birth and going to present. This seems to be best, instead of calculating wrong and/or leaving any gaps in residency.

As far as the schooling goes, I would wait and ask him what the abbreviations mean so that there is absolutely NO question as to the school, location and type of degree/diploma or certificate received. This form obviously has NO room for error and you should be as specific as possible. :)
