I was surprised to find the IV bill available today but I won't look a gift horse in the mouth Now if they'll both show paid as quickly!! Can't say thanks to all of you enough, so I'll get started with it now. Thank god we're all nearly done with this whole mess!

should co-sponsor answer this question or just leave it blank?

It says that this question is only for the petitioner sponsors? I just want to make sure.

Yeah I feel I have waited long enough....I thought I would be expedited throug the NVC because I was at the USCIS.....but NOOOOOOOO. I did send a request with the packages. of couse I havent heard anything back on that. I know there are people that have waited longer than me so far though....we need like 5 LIF today so I will have hope for next week.

That's the one about military? Hmm ... I would say to check whichever block, but I dont know for sure. I think it only applies to the Petitioner...so they would only be held to the 100% of the poverty line. The co-sponsor is just helping to make up the difference.

hey GUYS! can you help me here? i am getting flustered and confused!!

I paid the AOS bill, status is paid on the site. So I can print the cover sheet and receipt now! BUT

the IV bill is already available to be clicked on to pay it!!!! should i PAY it NOW??? before i get an email from the NVC????? will that be a bad thing to do???

then, for the AOS bill, i print the cover sheet and send that WITH the bill statement AND the 1-864 forms together????? or WHAT???

I would like to do this all today, so if someone could let me know this afternoon i would be so grateful!!!! THANKS!!!

I called today to see if a supervisor could override the need for the second police certificate and ended up speaking with a rude operator and an even more rude supervisor. This is how our conversation went:

Her: How can I help you?

Me: I sent in my wife's DS-230 and I sent in the Passport Clearance Certificate and I was....

Her: <interrupts> Sir, we need your district police certificate

Me: Right, and I was just looking at the state website and it says....

Her: <interrupts again> sir, we need your district police certificate

Me: Yes, but the state website says that if the passport is less than 6 months old, only the passport one will do

Her: Sir,the embassy has requested that we collect the police certificates before handing over the case to them, so we need your district certificate. We are only here to collect all the documents and send it over. The embassies always change rules and the websites dont get updated as frequently, so you will have to send in the police certificate.

Me: Ok. My wife's district police certificate requires and email from the NVC saying it is required for them to issue iet, can you please tell me how long before I receive the email.

Her: Sir, your's wasnt the only case reviewed that day, we review thousands of cases everyday and it will take some time. We cannot expedite the emails, your email is waiting in line to be sent. You will get it when the computer generates it and sends it out.

Me: Ok, thank you for all the help

Her: Have a good day, bye...

So that's it. I was pinning my hopes on this one conversation hoping they could let this one slide, but apparently not.

So I'm waiting for the email to come through, I hope it's there tomorrow morning, coz they usually send them friday night I think.

Tokyo--Print out the cover sheet for the AOS and send in your I864 package. Just the barcoded sheet. Not the receipt. Overnight it today if possible and if all your documentation is completed.

If your IV bill is available to be paid, then go ahead and pay it. It will take about 1-2 days to clear.

Recommended AOS package:

I-864 Coversheet (with barcode) for payment of $70

Form I-864 (signed and dated)

2008 Federal Tax Return/W2 and 1099s or IRS tax transcript.

2007 Federal Tax Return and W2 and 1099s or IRS tax transcript.

2006 Federal Tax Return/W2 and 1099s or IRS Tax Transcript

Letter of Employment

Pay stub(s) from the most recent six months

Bank Statements.

Some people are choosing to send in 2009 W2s.

Remember, the USC petitioner will file a I-864 regardless of income. If your joint sponsor lives in the same household as the petitioner, then they will use I-864A. If they live in a separate residence, then they will fill in another I-864.

For your joint sponsor you will need proof of their citizenship/residency. For household member, you will need proof of relationship and same household/residence.

My IV bill was available shortly after I paid the AOS bill. I went ahead and paid it on advice from this thread The AOS packet has to have the bar coded cover sheet you're able to print after it's status changes to paid. The same for the IV packet.

SJ--Sorry to hear that, dude. I was hoping they'd let it pass but I guess not. Hopefully you can get it to them, soonish?
