Guys, I have a question. Anyone here has a job that is commission base. If so what did you put as your current annual salary? Is it average of the salary from last three years ? how did you predict the salary for this year?

No update to our AVR.

The operator told me last thursday that they have my AOS and they're reviewing it, it's been a week and I haven't heard anything, does that mean that they had no problems with it? Should I ask about it? Or should I just assume the best and wait for them to dig into our DS-230? I guess, I've been expecting a false RFE to tell me that they waiting for my DS-230 to arrive.

hello my friends..any news?? let me read the past posts..

oh I recieve the checklist letter for the RFE it says this...

It appears that you have been in the United States as an Exchange Visitor. As

receive an immigrant visa until they have resided for two years in their country of

nationality (or country of last residence) following the completion of their stay in

the U.S. An annotation regarding the applicability of the two-year foreign

residence requirement to your case should appear in the lower-left hand corner

of your Exchange Visitor Certificate of Eligibility (Form IAP-66). Please submit a

copy of the form to this office.

If you no longer possess the IAP-66, please

submit a statement containing the following information: 1) The name of the

organization sponsoring your Exchange Visitor Program, its address and the

number of the Program. 2) The date on which you obtained your Exchange

Visitor visa, or date you acquired such status after admission to the U.S. and the

date of termination of your Exchange Visitor status. 3) The country of which you

were a national and resident or, if not a national, a lawful permanent resident, at

the time you obtained your Exchange Visitor status in the U.S. 4) Your

occupation and the field of specialization in which you pursued your studies

during your Exchange Visitor Program. 5) Whether your participation in the

Program was financed in whole or in part by a U.S. Government agency, the

government of your country of nationality/last residence, or a travel grant, if any.

6) Whether you are a physician who participated in an Exchange Visitor Program

to receive a graduate medical education or training. No further action may be

taken on your immigrant visa application until you provide this office with a copy

of your Form IAP-66 or a statement containing the above information.

Wow! So much has happened on the thread today! I feel a little discombobulated reading it all.

First off, CONGRATS! to those with happy new and HANG IN THERE to those with not-so-happy news.

I love all the love stories, you guys! And yes!! We've got to keep in touch with each other! FB seems to be the way to go, so... kariberryandbunnies@hotmail.com is how you can find me. I'm Kari.

Each day seems to bring new worries. I just got off the phone with the husby and he says they've pretty much closed Bangkok. No one in or out. His province borders Bangkok, so we're wondering if there will be any toruble there, too, or not. I don't think so. But what about the embassy?! It's in Bangkok. Like right in the middle of things, too. I'm pretty sure it's going to be closed as a precaution.

With worries, though, comes hope. If they close the embassy, then they can't schedule appointments. Means that if I hurry and send the DS-230 (got the new one from Husby today) then I might be able to get a case complete in time. Or, more likely, the cancelled interviews will take up all the extra spaces.

More hope... The girls found copies of their green cards. It's got theie numbers on it. We're good.

And more hope. NVC is gonna get their act together and start churning out completed cases and interview dates. That list is gonna start dwindling down. Yes!! Don't migrate to the May interview thread just yet. There's still hope. There's always hope.

I'm convinced that IF you can show a '2 year abscence' NOT in the USA, from the time you left, on that exchange visa,

then you are golden.

One way to 'show this' is via visa stamps.

If you don't have the IAP-66 (and somehow, I think you absolutely not have this) -

then you should write up that stupid 'statement'. - be specific about dates in the USA, as well.

Good Luck !

(PS - my apologies - NVC never ever emails 'the body' of what is required of the RFE - it's ALWAYS a postal mail)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Can anbody tell me that is there anyway I could find a DS230 and SAVE it, itstead of just printing it rigt away?? I applied I-130 on OCT 20th.. now i am in the process of sending the DS230. My wife already applied for the police certifactes in India..hopefully i will get it soon..

absolutely !!!

get CutePDF -

fill out the DS-230 - and then PRINT IT to another PDF file

using CutePDF.

need links?

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...onic_Processing

ignore the content - just get the software that you need from the blue links.

Good Luck ! (or something)

I'm assuming from the J1 because on the I-130 & DS230 they are written as Last Name, First Name & Middle Name.

On the Payment Portal sheets they say Last Name, First Name, Middle Name, Dads Name. Dads Middle name.

So I am not sure where they pulled that name from the way its written. I assumed from J1.

This is an EXCELLENT ISSUE for yer attorney to cover.

I highly recommend you FAX ALL to him/her, asap, and await the answer from YOUR ATTORNEY !!

Good Luck !

Try to download Adobe. I have it for free.

Google: Adobe download, and you will get it :)

Editing.... I thought you wanted to save the barcoded sheet. The DS230 I couldn't save either... sorry.

An idea is to print it out and scan it back to your computer for your records.

Another great idea is to USE CutePDF.

Good Luck !

What you can do if you just want to keep a copy is to print it to a file....instead of telling to go to your printer...tell it microsoft xps document writer or the other option that isnt a real printer. You wont be able to change it, but you will have a copy of it.

I'm a fan of CutePDF - works wonders - especially for those in the NVC Electronic Processing Program - where PDF output files are required.

Good Luck !

Darnell,

TheBears - ya ya ya -

I'll post some food porn this weekend - I promise. FWIW, it's never one sided - I ask for 'food porn fotos', in exchange for my wealth/depth o knowledge about this silly NVC process. If you notice, or have noticed, I've written up a coupla things - about 1) paper processing and 2) Electronic Processing. Those were really f'ing painful to do - and I fully expect anyone who uses them - to post food porn fotos in any NVC monthly thread, to balance my pain and suffering for learning all of this #######, and then WRITING about all of this #######. (Did I mention? It really is ALL #######, as there is NOT an NVC guide , writen by a gov worker or contractor, that maps it all out in a functional to-do document, ever.)

Where is yer Thai food porn fotos, btw?

ALL of my food porn fotos are from China, with small exception -

I make about 300 to 400 dumplings each quarter - drop off at the local food bank with a company logo plastered all over. I've got loads of fotos of this.

I've been on 'mostly liquid' diet this year, so food porn, for me, is really a drooling event, each one to be savored. It's a nasty diet, plus I'm on an exercise regimen. I've to lose 80 pounds in a quarter - I've lost 39 so far - but... food porn is useful to see, it KEEPS ME POSTING useful info, in this thread. Ya, I've posted useful info here - you can check it, with the big mondo huge search thingie.

Where is yer food porn?

Kevin - yer floating across a tax year.

I'd include 2009 TY data , as well.

If you've NOT FILED YET, for TY 2009 -

then - include copies of yer W-2s, for TY 2009.

Not sure whats IN yer cover sheet - but -

it should include a list of what yer including in the package.

re: pay stubs. LAST 6 months pay stubs are sufficient - you do not need 6 months of pay stubs PER YEAR.

GOOD LUCK ! (or something)

PS - did you read any of my prior replies to yer posts, in this thread? if not, please DO SO !
