This is the exact text I got too for my RFE or rather False RFE

"IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION:

The NVC has received the requested Affidavit of Support form (I-864) for this case. However, we are still waiting for the Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230) and corresponding civil documents for each traveling applicant to be returned to National Visa Center for review. You will find the DS-230 form along with complete instructions for submitting the civil documentation required for this case at www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov under the Applicant Document Processing link.

We urge you to send in the DS-230 form(s) and required civil documentation for each traveling family member in one package to the National Visa Center (NVC). Sending the information in separately may cause delays in the processing of the case."

I spoke to an operator who confirmed they have received the DS-230 packet on the 5th and is under review and told me to just ignore it.

The DS-3032 RFE is very strange indeed. Must be due to the AVR system going into coma last week. I wouldn't send anything again till its confrmed. Both looks a like false RFE.

Ok we just got our check list letter (Missing Document List):

What's GOING ON???? This is frustrating that they even list DS-3032. DS-3032 was approved via email. I even snail mailed it in.

What would you guys suggest i should do? There are a few options i can take:

  1. Wait and see - may be just a false RFE.
  2. Resent everything (DS-3032 and DS-230 and supporting documents) - again the DS-230 i did not write my case number on every page.

I have seen this before, they are just waiting for it to be processed... I do not think it was lost... I would give it a few days...

Okay, I want to write a nice, detailed story like all of you did, especially after reading Vivek's. So I'm just paraphrasing from the affidavit my husband wrote regarding our relationship.

"I was enrolled at Ithaca College, New York from August 2005 to May 2009 during which I met my wife Sachinky, who was also pursuing her undergraduate degree there. We were introduced by a mutual friend who happened to be my roommate, TML. We met in January 2008 and by February end, we began to see each other romantically. Our love for greasy Chinese buffets and old Tom Cruise movies brought us together. We continued to date each other through the summer and into senior year and our bond deepened as wrote midterm papers together, dozed through theater class, double-dated with friends and roommates, ate terrible dining hall food, partied with friends on the weekend, watched countless hours of cable television and slept over at each other's dorm room. We were inseparable. Sachinky met my parents on two separate occasions -- a weekend before my birthday in October when they came up from Michigan for a visit and during graduation weekend in mid-May.

On March 25, 2009, I proposed to Sachinky and happily, she accepted. After graduation, we lived together for a month in Binghamton. Our decision to get married was well thought out and certainly not something we rushed into. Aware that most college sweethearts have no choice but to part ways following graduation, we hoped to avoid becoming a cliché. When one has found the love of one's life, it is surely foolhardy to let that love go and wonder, twenty years down the line, "what if?"

Although, Sachinky was on a valid F-1/OPT visa and could have filed for Adjustment of Status based on marriage to a U.S. citizen, we decided that we wanted to get married in India so that I could meet her parents and friends in India since she had already met mine. She flew back to Calcutta in June and filed the notice of intending marriage after the required waiting period. I flew to Calcutta for two weeks in August and stayed with Sachinky and her parents at their Calcutta residence. We got married on August 17, 2009 and solemnized our relationship through a civil ceremony, exchange of gold wedding bands and garlands at their residence with a few of her close friends and family as witness. This was followed by a dinner reception held at the Calcutta Club for about 150 guests. A quick one-day honeymoon preceded my departure on August 20, 2009. Because my parents were unable to attend the wedding due to unavoidable circumstances, we hope to have another wedding ceremony in the U.S. following Sachinky's arrival for my parents, family, friends and of course, our college friends."

That is bizarre, Tharnsur.

Your AOS package and IV package were delivered together, right? But now they one have one? Did they lose the other package? Can you get original documents again? Call and speak to a supervisor maybe. Has your AVR been updated? Mine hasn't, but they did tell us they have it and are processing it.

Sorry if you posted this before, but what did the last operator you spoke to, tell ya?

sachinky - i spoke to three different operators - all telling the same thing: "waiting for ds-230". I told them that both the AOS and ds-230 were delivered on the same day (3/1/2010). The last operator i spoke to said that my AOS package is OK and complete and i should call back next week to see if they got our DS-230.

Early on after i sent in my ds-230, i realized that i forgot to write my case number on each page so i called the operator and she reassured me that it's OK and i'm not the first to do this. I'm concern that some how NVC just trash our ds-230 since we did not follow direction.

Got a questions (I have a lot of them as the process goes on) :help:

When hubby was filling out his J1 paperwork, he put his name as Last Name, First Name, Middle Name, Dads Name. Dads Middle name.

Is that the correct way in India or?

So when I filled out I130 paperwork, I put his name as Last Name, First Name & Middle Name. Had him do the same on his DS230.

The payments I made online & printed out the barcoded page, his name is written Last Name, First Name, Middle Name, Dads Name. Dads Middle name.

But because we did the paperwork differently name wise, are we going to have a problem somewhere along the line?

Tatyana -- So the names are different on the I-130 and DS230? Or from the J-1? Or the payment sheets?

There is no ONE correct way to write names in India. Each region has their customs. People from the South often add their town's name somewhere in there too.

Dear NVC staff and all who may be concerned:

Us March threaders would be forever in your debt if you could please extend a lil miracle for us this day and tomorrow and so on and so forth for us March threaders who have done our time in following the rules and remaining patient during this most trying time. In a time of earthly horrors, wars, earthquakes, famine, disease and corruption, is it not LOVE that is the answer? Is it not LOVE that lights the way during the most darkest of times? Are we asking too much to be united with the ones WE LOVE in order to do our part, albeit miniscule, to spread LOVE, practice LOVE and be LOVED? We ask nothing more than a bit of compassion and perhaps a bit of expediency in order to provide us with the very medium to do our part in this world.

They say in chaos is where one finds clarity. We have faced chaos and we have thrived! No more RFE's no more delays!

Regards,

The March Thread

How long will it take to get the PCC, SJ? My RPO PCC took 7 days. Ask her to attach a copy of the local PS PCC when requesting it. It will speed it up.

Well my wife's already applied for it. They just asked her to get the request email and some other documentation and said they can issue it in 7 days if everything is in line. Except the email, she's got everything ready, so hopefully I can send it in the week of the 22nd.

SJ--Okay. Hopefully it will be sorted out reasonably quickly.

Tharnsur -- I think it's a False RFE. Why on earth would they ask you to send the DS3032 and DS230 together? You can't send the 230 unless the 3032 has been accepted. However, I would insist that they try and locate the package since it's most likely in the mail room and not been inputted yet.

Did you send the AOS and DS230 together in ONE envelope? Or separate envelopes?
