NVC March 2010 Edition!

On Mumbai Embassy site it says this;

All applicants must submit certain personal documents such as passports, birth certificates, marriage certificates, police certificates, and other civil documents,

But my hubby has mailed me the birth certificate & police certificates so how will he able to have them for his interview? Or they will have that all in hand when he goes to the interview or should he have got more then 1 certified copy?

The NVC will send over all the civil documents to the consulate along with the AOS and DS-230 documents and they will be handed back to the beneficiary at the time of the interview. I dont think your husband will have to obtain additional copies of the same documents for the interview. Dont worry about it.

I am thinking those guidelines are for applicants that have not submitted all the civil documents to the NVC.

Just keep trying. Or call back when they first open at 7:30 am or right before they close at midnight Eastern Time. It's definitely frustrating.

They are talking about the payment portal where you pay the AOS and IV application fees.

If your case is complete, you will get a message saying your case is no longer being processed at the NVC, or something close to that.

Go back and look - make SURE it's for I-130 petition / CR-1/IR-1/IR-5 petition types -

as -

there is original document requirement for NVC -

it's - ORIGINAL PLUS a photocopy.
