Good to know! I didn't want to give incorrect info! Your guide (and you!) have already helped me in starting the electronic filing, so thanks!

If you have questions about EP, there's a canada group over at http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=224010 - might be a good thing to check in with them, regain some sanity about the process.

Good Luck !

AVR said it was mailed. But I received the email first. Probably the snail mail will come at a future date.

Folks! March offically sucks balls.

I second that!

Not only because NVC is ###### everyone up, but also because of all the BS that's be surrounding my hubbys deployment... So we were firts told he was leaving in may - so we booked tickets for me to come visit and slowed down our process (lost about 3 weeks aprox), then we were told July - started everything up again, then yesterday we were told it going to be in either june, november or not at all this year - impossible to plan anything, then today they tell us it's not going to happen this year - which I think is pretty awesome, but I'm still worried about what they'll say tomorrow..

So now we got tickets for me to come for 3 weeks in april, hopefully an interview in may and then the "final" trip over in late may/early june... If we would have know then what we know now, we could have saved lots of $ not getting this april-trip..

It kinda feels like NVC took over planning my hubbys deployment - "in 2-6 weeks" "call back in a few weeks" " not recieved" "call in 90 days" "blah blah blah I'm talking out of my a$$"

Sorry for going off topic guys but I needed to vent a little... Thank you for all being here for support when things get aggravating!

Estrella - OH NO! That really sucks balls! I can't really understand why they want it? As you said, even if there was a 2 year requierment, you have already done that along time ago!

F-ing NVC...they should be glad we all don't just hop on a plane and meet up outside their building after we all get our visas!

I hope you get it resolved quick and easy! I'm rooting for you!

Hahaha :ot2:

On the topic again: I just called the AVR on an impulse and the message changed from missing or incomplete documents and send a letter on the 5th of MArch to missing and incomplete information and sent a letter on the 9th of March. Which means they finally got to my DS-230 but have now found a missing PCC, and thats just my understanding, but I'm on hold now to find out what the RFE is for.

If it is for the PCC,my wife's local Police office is ready to issue it if they get a letter from the NVC. I'm sure they will accept the email instead...

Hopefully I'll be back on track in a week's time.

wow... they are totally screwed up arent they? not sure why they still havent found your DS230... strange... I am going to call them and make sure that the msg that I recieved isnt false....

The ones that print/sign/scan/email - are required so to do, for the NVC Electronic Processing Program - and that's limited to Canada, China, and some other country. There's too much 'noise' about this processing being 'accepted' for all countries. I've no wish to argue with you about this, but this step of print/sign/scan/email isn't accepted for NON-EP countries.

EMAILING using the ASCII template is accepted, still, for non-EP countries.

Happy Wednesday !

Ok, good to know...i thought it wouldnt matter, but hey it's better to just e-mail the template in the wiki. I was in the PI with my wife and had it fixed up in a couple of mins. I understand what you are saying. I know i didnt want to just tell them to do that..too much "thinking" and not enough "knowing" sorry

Its all good. Sorry if I confused anyone.

So I'm guessing this is where I can vent a little bit about my experience :) I am a March-er in the NVC... received a case number on February 26th... paid the AOS and IV fee on March 2nd. I'm still waiting for the "paid" status, which is just another 'hurry-up-and-wait' portion of this loooonnnnggg journey. I'm anxious to move on and submitt my I-864 so that the NVC can send my junk to the embassy. The anticipation is killing me! I just want to be done already, the constant checking, the paper printing and form-filling, I'm about to go blind!!! It will all be worth it when I have my husband in my arms, I'm sure. Ayyy! Can I getta Amen?

Our quick story was my first time to Europe (after wanting to go my whole life!) was for Christmas 08. I planned a family trip to Germany and then France and last minute decided to go by myself to London first to meet a cousin who I'd never met. Our LAST night in London before flying out to Germany, we weren't going to go out, but my cousin (because she is my awesome blood), said those fateful words " Taxi will be here in 10 mins". She asked the taxi driver to take us to a pub, he said, no I have a much more fun place and took us to the place where I met my husband! The two of us spent the whole night driving around London, talking, laughing, eating Turkish food and watching the sun rise from a palace. He drove my cousin and I home, the gentleman that he is, I gave him my number and sadly never thought I would hear from him again. The week I got home, he called on my ONE day of not working and we've been hooked ever since. He bought a laptop the next day, installed Skype and we've talked every day without fail. Lots more little fateful things like that that let me know he was MINE : )

I went back for his bday/Valentine's day because "we couldn't possibly be THIS good!" (We are!) Went back to London for a week in April. Went to Albania to meet his amazing, huge family for 2 weeks in August(and got married in a small courthouse). Went back to Albania for 9 days and arrived as New Years eve fireworks were going off and I got to kiss him in the airport right at midnight. Very romantic, sigh of happiness. Now we are trying to hold out until he is here....praying for a May interview if RFE is cleared up.

All this frustration and I can still proudly and easily say he is absolutely worth the wait : )

Amazing story! I too think midnight kisses on New Years are so romantic!

Finally Have my NVC Case# Assigned...

 Good luck!

uggggh.... so I just got off the phone with the operator... which was a total waste of my time... when I call the AVR msg has changed and it says, the NVC has recieved your documents on March 9th please allow 6-8 weeks to review and then notify you of the outcome" which before when I had called it had said that the NVC is waiting on the biographic forms from the petitionor.. bla bla bla.... So I called and talked with an operator... and she said that one packet is under review right now... and that she is not seeing the other packet... I was like auuuuugh and was very put out with her... I told her about the msgs in the AVR and asked her to explain them to me then since they still only have the one package on review and from what I had gathered both should be on review right now... she assured me that both packages were there, but that they have a huge mailroom and many departments.. I interupted her and said I know they are there I FedExed them and I know who signed for them... She then told me that she would bet that if I called back later today that they would have both packages loaded on there computer... <why couldnt she just say this in the first place> it is like they see all our information, but only want to tell you tid bits of ###### just to piss ya off... or maybe I am just irritable... idk

I personally am not going to call back and talk to an operator until after I get a log in fail and I am verifying a case complete or... well I dont want to jinx myself so I am not going to say it... lets just say I am not going to call them back for awhile...

record time in calling right now though... got through in 1 min
