NVC March 2010 Edition!

how long does it take after I complete the NVC process before I stop having all these acronyms in my brain??

PPL I am totally freaking out... I will be lucky if I have any hair on my head when I see my husband next!! I am loosing globs and globs of it... I was thinking that it was stressfull waiting at the USCIS for my NOA2... now.. wow... I just am praying that I havent screwed anything up... I am sure everyone knows that has read any of my post.. that I am a little slow.. not to mention I am dyslexic <self diagnosed> I have checked everything in my AOS package atleast a dozen times.. I even tried to get my dad to look it over.. but he just at me... Oh well... Tomorrow I am sending the AOS... and then I can be back to myself... praying praying and more praying

No, I am sending the AOS in the morning... and then when my Hubby's documents get to me on Wed I will be mailing the IV package on Thursday... dont know if it is a smart move... but... I am guessing I will find out

of course it is.. we did not send the AOS first because of the situation with the payment and as both payment cleared at the same time that's why we sent both package together last thursday

I agree. If my payments wasn't clear at the same time we would have sent separately. Don't worry too much Melody. You will be just fine.

Guys, I was looking through the barcoded sheet and for the AOS it says to mail to a different department at NVC:

For AOS -> Attn. CMR AOS

For DS230-> Attn. CMR

Does it make any difference? We decided to mail in different envelopes, since the department is different. How did you guys do?

Getting ready to send my AOS Package first thing tomorrow. :) Can someone please confirm that I have everything one more time (I've been obsessing) !?

(I am the USC and sponsoring my husband - no joint sponsor)

-my own cover sheet detailing what's inside

- document cover sheet from Fee bill

- 864 form (signed, dated, and in all caps)

- 2009 federal tax return and W2

- 2008 tax transcript

- 2007 tax transcript

- letter of employment

- pay stubs for the past 6 months

They took 6 days to accept my DS3032. Don't worry, I think they will send you an email between today and tomorrow. Good luck!

Ok was going through the Lingche shortcut and happened to click on the ds320 and saw "complete one copy of this form for yourself and each member of your family, regardless of age, who will be immigrate with you. Ok so I get that part but then I start to get confused when i think about it.

I am the ben, I have a three year old son.

1) I have to fill out two of these forms one for me and one for him as he is to immigrate with me.... ok but that is for MY case file.

Do I have to file out a ds320 for his case and then file out one again for me as we are immigrating together.

So I get confused when I think about these things as I dont see a guide as to what happens with a child case.

Good morning, everyone! Welcome March!! This is going to be one of the great months of our lives... the month that we can wave bye bye to NVC and start planning on being with our loved ones again.

On a personal note, I'm going to receive an e-mail from NVC today demanding money. That's just how it's going to be. Oh... and Mother Nature is going to get over her "let's turn Texas into New York" idea and stop with the cold weather already. heh heh

Ok i know some of you are sending mail through UPSP with signature required and your mail were not delivered this past Friday and Saturday. When checking the status of the package, i got the following:

We attempted to deliver your item at 4:22 PM on February 27, 2010 in PORTSMOUTH, NH 03801 and a notice was left. You may pick up the item at the Post Office indicated on the notice, go to www.usps.com/redelivery, or call 800-ASK-USPS to arrange for redelivery. If this item is unclaimed after 15 days then it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

What should i do? does NVC normally go pick undelivered mail up at the post office? Should i call to USPS to redeliver the package?

They'll get it. USPS makes more than 1 delivery attempt. Also, NVC knows that they get mail all of the time. They'll go get it or request redelivery or whatever it is that they do.
