Here is what I put together for Merlaine to take. I've just been adding to it as time went on - new phone bill, bank statement, etc. It weighed 16 lbs. when I sent it DHL so I'm sure it will be up over 20 by the time my poor girl has to take it to her interview. I told her I'd have a wheelbarrow shipped to her ;)

I tried callin NVC since yesterday to find out what my RFE was. When i give them my DOB they told me it is not on file.[iM THE PETITIONER] However i explained that i did send copy of my birth certificate n passport biographic page along with a letter to make any changes with my I-864 Package. The lady was nice and she transfered me to a suupervisor who told me that even though they received it she dont know why it has not been updated and that i should scan same and send as email attachment. So she could not tell me what the RFE was and that i have to wait for the email.Luckly when i came home today it came through...Still puzzled as to how come they dont have my correct DOB in there system...lol..Is that USCIS FAULT?

[x] It appears that there is no proof of current employment (a recently dated job letter or pay stub), or

self-employment status (a recently dated letter on business letterhead or a business license).

Bear in mind i wrote them a letter explaining that i had started a new job 15 Feb 2010 and promise to send pay stub/job letter for applicant's interview.I guess i should have left it as unemployed since i have a co-sponser. Thank God i got my first pay stub last friday so i will be sending it off tomorrow. And i am happy that they only ask for either one.

I also have to send a new I-864. Do i still have to calculate my annual income even though i stated job in February??? A little confused on that.

Yup, and emailed it to myself so I have an electronic copy. I am doing EP, so once I finish filling out the DS-230 (why didn't I do that anytime in the past week?) I can send everything for it off.

I must of missed more then 1 post somewhere  but you can EP the DS230 or am I just confused?

Ya, those women @ 001 - aiyo...

90 percent of what's there is conjecture, 4 percent fact, 4 percent opinion, 2 percent unknown.

There's a 'black box' for operations - ya feed the black box, and then something happens.

For NVC Electronic Processing - ya feed it the I-864 plus fee, then DS-230 plus fee.

NVC sets the appointment date for Guangzhou (unlike a non-EP case, where Guangzhou IV Unit sets it)

You'll get an email containing the appointment letter with the casenumber and date.

NON-EP cases do not get appointments set from NVC, NON-EP cases do NOT receive appointment letter emails from NVC.

At Guangzhou IV unit - they will 'open' the I-130 casefile, then send out (sometimes) a P4 document set).

If you don't get a P4 document sent from GUZ IV unit - don't sweat it - as you'll have the appointment letter, and you can download all of the P4 documents from the GUZ IV web site.

----

Without NVC EP - the casefile is bundled up when completed, sent VIA DHL to Guangzhou IV unit WAREHOUSE, where it waits for 2 to 4 months, because of prior queue.

WITH NVC EP - you 'jump this queue' - no waiting in the warehouse.

----

With NVC EP - The casefile is electronically sent with SAFEFILE system - so usually, within 5 days of case complete at NVC, an appointment date is set for GUZ IV unit, and GUZ IV has 'opened' the casefile from SAFEFILE.

----

The 001 women - have caused much dissension with misinformation and sniping in the past - I tell me wife to totally ignore everything about 'the process' , as most of the time, it's conjecture and misinformation. There is a 'game' there - to 'mess up the process' for any new person that joins 001. I pray you are not in the 'middle' of the game, as NORMALLY, you will lose.

-----

Good Luck !

---------

NVC Electronic Processing GUZ Guangzhou

Yep, those women at 001, only a quite few be able to help

And, I am so glad that I am out of the game right now, and only choose help information, and avoid being misguided as well

Thank you again, Darnell

I called NVC today...They operator told me that I had a case number assigned for my wife's I-130, which was approved last week. I gave her my email address as well..

I was under the impression that they would send me all the forms to my email. But she told me that AOS was already mailed to me and D-3032 was mailed to the beneficiary. Does this mean I won't get the forms to my email address?

Also I think it would be better for me to act as an agent for my wife. But what do people generally do? And does that mean my wife will have to send the agent form back to me first?

I had also applied for my mother at around the same time I applied for my wife (5 months ago). My mom's case has not been approved by the USCIS yet. Does it take the same amount of time at the USCIS and then at the NVC and the embassy?

Thanks a lot for the help!!

I can't answer the second question as I don't know. But for the first part. When I gave them our emails they emailed us the AOS info and the DS-3032. My wife emailed the DS-3032 choosing me as the agent and I had already completed the AOS package. The AOS email they sent me had the invoice identification number that I needed to login to the payment page. From there I could pay the AOS fee and print the coversheet for my AOS. After the NVC received her emailed DS-3032 I was able to pay the second fee, by checking the payment page daily. I paid it, and when it showed paid, I sent the DS-230. I have not received any emails from the NVC since the first one. I just read the Wiki's on this site an asked questions when needed to help me. After they receive my package I will continue signing into the payment page, and when it fails, it means that our case is complete. Good luck!

Here's Christeen's time tested formula for NVC:

Petitioner: Get NVC # + give operator your email IDs + receive AOS fee bill + pay 70$ online + wait to show paid + print cover sheet + send I-864 AOS with all documents and case # written on each page.

Beneficiary: Get NVC# + receive DS3032 + send DS3032+ DS3032 accepted + IV fee bill available to be paid + pay and wait to show paid + print IV cover sheet + mail DS230 package with all original/certified documents

= wait for case complete + wait for interview to be scheduled. :)

I want to thank sachinky for posting this and Christeen for writing it. This has been my desktop background since getting to the NVC and I think it's important for this to continuously get reposted throughout all of the NVC update threads so that those just joining us can feel better like I did having it in front of them.
