I have a question about co-sponsors. Do they run a background check on them as well? I've not posted because I was having problems getting a co-sponsor but I've got one now.

highly doubt it. They just want the signed form saying they will sponsor and the docs and proof to support it. Its the USC that they run the background checks on and thats during the USCIS process.

I just called the NVC and inquired about my IV Bill still showning "In process". The lady told me because their system is down!

However she told me you can mail the DS-230 package using my AOS barcode and cross ATTN: CMR and change to DR and suite 200 should be suite 100 instead.

Since its already 6 pm and FedEx does not accept overnight shipments after 6pm, I will wait until tomorrow .. If I did not get my coversheet by tomorrow.... I will just use the old barcode + I'll include the NVC IV Bill receipt.

Since many people got the same response from operators that its okay to mail with AOS bar,, I guess that's reassuring.

Have a good evening,

So you mailed to ATTN: DR

31 Rochester or 32 Rochester

Zipcode: 03801-2909

apparently 2909 is specific for the department.

I called NVC today...They operator told me that I had a case number assigned for my wife's I-130, which was approved last week. I gave her my email address as well..

I was under the impression that they would send me all the forms to my email. But she told me that AOS was already mailed to me and D-3032 was mailed to the beneficiary. Does this mean I won't get the forms to my email address?

Also I think it would be better for me to act as an agent for my wife. But what do people generally do? And does that mean my wife will have to send the agent form back to me first?

I had also applied for my mother at around the same time I applied for my wife (5 months ago). My mom's case has not been approved by the USCIS yet. Does it take the same amount of time at the USCIS and then at the NVC and the embassy?

Thanks a lot for the help!!

I think that a barcode is a barcode. Its simply your NVC number. I think you will be find sending it as they suggested! The only difference I see on the barcode cover sheets for both is the address. Once says attention CMR AOS and the other is just CMR. Same mailing address, just different ATTN:

guess you got it right.. i might as well wait for what he'd that they would send me (at the end of the week?! ) and use it for both my AOS and IV packages! But really, im loosing patience on this! :crying::crying::crying: ..my payment status is still- in process,WTH!

Estrella/Tharnsur/And all with a March 1-2 complete package ( AOS and DS 230 ) delivery date,

I project a sign in failure tonight or tomorrow. ANd those with March 3 delivery date, expect tomorrow or Thursday..

SeanJean, I would have thought that you and I would be going neck and neck for the finish line. But relax a bit my freind, DON'T CALL NVC AGAIN until Friday. This is the frustration that I was referring to earlier. If you call too often and nothing gets updated, you will feel tiresome, worrisome, and you will feel you did something wrong/incomplete. When in reality, NVC is probably waiting for something/someone to confirm certain information ( like a translation ) of something you sent to them or IRS information, etc.. This takes time.

Like I said earlier, calling one time a day or ten times a day will not speed up the process.

I will call the AVR in a few hours to get the latest update and hopefully hear them tell me CASE is complete. Getting a sign in failure isn't enough in my book. So I'll call for AVR and then wait til Friday to reach a live operator about the interview date.

Sachinky commented my ability to remain patient during this whole process, but I disagree --- I AM IMPATIENT when you consider that their recording is saying wait 6-8 weeks to receive a notice or decision when I am giving them only one week.

However to call them everyday for case update is a bit too much. And it ties up fone lines which in some ways incur cost for future filers because they have to hire more people to handle routine tasks.

That's all folks, and best wishes to all waiting for confirmation of their March 1-3 complete package delivery.

**** filed K3/CR1 concurrently. My wife and I both work/live overseas. The following timeline continues from the approval of the K3 VISA.
