Read up on LingChe's Shortcuts. It's gonna start moving now. Congrats!

I got a questions guys,

I got the approval for I-30 for my wife on 2/23/10

I have not received any case # from NVC yet.

Do I need to call them myself? The I-130 approval notice says I should not call them before 90 days.

Thanks for the help

borntorule - call NVC and enter your USCIS case number to see if NVC assigned you a NVC case number. If you have a NVC case number, speak to a live operator and give both your email adresses. the number to call is: (603) 334-0700. This number is VERY busy. Keep trying until you can get through. Good luck.

GUZ IV unit will know NOTHING about yer petition, until it is actually OPENED at GUZ. Period.

I understand that sometimes ppl want to make 'shotgun effect' - contacting all entities about a petition - but.

Basically, you've wasted someone's time in Guangzhou.

Bad on You, IMO.

I get this sense that you are not understanding scope and domain - ie - what does Guangzhou IV unit do,

and what does NVC do, with yer petition...

I pray you get some understanding about what's going on -

and .. I'm sorry NVC has 'blown up' over these last few days.

NVC Electronic Processing IS NOT FASTER, on average, than the fastest paper processing -

but it does shave off time for 'getting an interview date set' through the IV unit at Guangzhou.

If I had super magic genie powers, I'd grant you 'patience' - as thats exactly what you need, at this moment.

Hang in there, and Good Luck !

Yes, I do think you are right. I do not understand what does Guangzhou IV unit do or NVC do, and obviously, I just wasted someone's time in Guangzhou. Bad on ME, totally. I think I was misguided by some folks from 001

My hubby and I will pay I-864/$70 online tonight as we decided to do, if he already got the Invoice Identification Number from DS-3032 kit

I do need more information to know what does the Guangzhou IV unit do

I need PATIENCE!!

Thank you for helping me

What we did was call NVC/603-334-0700 after we got the NOA2 by mail, and got our NVC case number from NVC Automated Voice Message, and the day after it, we called NVC, reached a human, confirmed our biodata with her

Good Luck!

SPSguy--Congrats on your SIF! So exciting! :)

I do think we should all be failing one after another, hopefully this week, barring any RFEs. God forbid.

Come on, Tuesday! :)

NVC has not presumably received any new mail over the last few days or so. Hopefully, they're getting caught up on the backlog and our paperwork, this way those going after us won't have to wait this long! w00t!

The stupid payment portal and NVC has totally screwed up my awesome timeline.

Can still sign in as of 1:30AM EST.

Thansure,

We have been living together in Cambodia since our marriage. My wife has traveled to the U.S. several times using her K3 Visa.

we are now getting her the IR1 visa so she can get her greencard and ss # when we visit the U.S. next time. I see that you are from Cambodia as well, do you know the time frame for CR or IR visa interview at the Phnom Penh Consulate? Assuming everything is as expected, my next step is getting my wife ready for the interview and knowing the waiting period.

For everyone else, I just called NVC and please note that although I am getting a sign in failure at the NVC portal, the NVC avr has not been updated. It still has the previous recording which says, "the NVC has received the information checklist, etc..etc. "
