just go to google and type in USCIS service center, click the first link and search for the nearest one. My drive wasnt as bad as I thought it would be plus there was a Ikea furnature store next to it so we stop to look for furnature afterwards. I hope this speeds up the process

I got my biometrics letter today i am going to try a walk-in on tuesday. Hope i will be able to cause it isn't that close.

I still haven't got a letter about biometrics, so I'm getting kind of irritated. I think it might be the postal service here where I live, because the original NOAs were dated the 17th but I didn't get them until the 25th or something ridiculous like that. And the last update on my case is still the 4th of March.

congrats on gettin ur appointment. If you dnt live in big city or a busy town u should be able to walkin and do the biometrics

I got my biometrics in the mail late yesterday evening. So this morning, myself and my husband headed to Van Nuys service center to try a walk-in appointment. It all went okay - not a lot of people there so I was handed the paperwork and sent through straight away. The people who were dealing with me were all very nice and relaxed, even though the lady doing my prints was getting pretty frustrated because my fingers were hard to print. She got the best she could get, apparently, so I hope it's okay and they don't want me to submit another batch of prints later on.

One thing I will say to any women who have Biometrics coming up - if you're using your married name BRING YOUR MARRIAGE CERT! The woman had to send me to her dept head to get him to sign off on my Biometrics exam because my passport didn't match the application name. She said I should always bring my marriage cert to things like that, just in case there are problems.

They may not even ask you for it, but just in case... When she asked me for it I did say to her that it isn't listed on the notice as something I should bring, which is why she still let me proceed. But better safe than horribly inconvenienced, eh?

does everyones also still say initial review on your case statuses? or does that change after you complete your biometrics?

I agree...it was a waste. I realize that it was no help after I got my biometric appointment in the mail with no notifications. The online status check is only good to see the date they last looked at the application

Yeah I really don't see the point of the emails if they don't send them. Did anyone sign up for the phone alerts? Maybe they work...

Checked my status today and it says the I-765 was touched but nothing else... Nope, I just refreshed the page and my I-485 is now updated as well. Haha, they must be looking at it now or something.

My 765 and and 485 were touched again today, but not the travel doc or I-130... Hmmmmm. And when I checked the status of all of them it still says the same thing as the beginning - that checks were cashed Feb 23rd and the case is in initial review. Methinks they're just a bit ####### at updating their online info.

Yours still says initial review too. i thought it might say something different since you did your biometrics. I am going for mine tomorrow do you leave with anything like to send them in the mail, or do they just send it to them?
