I got all my NOA'S today so excited that everything was alright.

USPS sent AOS and I-130-2/20/2010

Arrived and received-2/22/2010

Checks Cashed-3/3/2010

All 3 NOA's Received-3/4/2010

All Forms Touched-3/4/2010

Biometrics Letter-3/11/2010 Appointment date 3/25/2010

I-130 and I-765 Touched-3/11/2010 though no e-mail update hmm.

Biometrics completed Walk-in-03/16/2010

I-485 and I-765 Touched-03/17/2010

Interview Letter-04/02/2010 for May 4th,2010

Hi, guess I'll check in here!

Sent my package (I-130 & I-485, etc) on February 23.

Got an e-mail confirming receipt at Chicago Lockbox, stating that the file is being forwarded to the National Benefits Center, and the checks were cashed yesterday, March 3.

Waiting for something in the mail with my receipt number on it so I can check my status online.

Well I registered online with USCIS to track the petition, and it says they haven't been touched since 26th of February. Boo-urns. Hopefully they'll get around to it soon.

Sept. 6th - Arrived for 3 months to stay with my boyfriend

Nov. 21st - Got married!

February 12th - Mailed paperwork

February 25th - Checks cashed

February 26th - NOAs received

March 4th - Touched! AP, I-130, I-765

March 11th - Received Biometrics appt for 24/03/10

March 12th - Walk in Biometrics completed!

March 15th - Touched. I-765, I-485

March 24th Original Biometrics appt date

March 26th - Received Interview Date for April 27th

April 23rd - Touched!

April 26th - AP approved, EAD approved, card production ordered

April 27th - Interview - APPROVED!

May 3rd - EAD received in mail

May 6th - Approval notices for I-130 and I-485 received

May 11th - Card production ordered

June 1st - GC finally received!

How can you tell if it has been touched? I registered for the e-mail thing and i put my receipt numbers in online but where would it say if it has been touched?

Got engaged to my USC girlfriend Dec 2008

DEC 29th 2009 Married

JAN 27th 2010 Medical completed Jan 27th

FEB 17th 2010 AOS + I-130 package sent

FEB 25th Got emails with all receipt # ( but not able to check on USCIS site)

FEB 28th Online status check available

MAR 1st Received Hard Copy of NOA's in the mail

MAR 8th Received Biometrics appointment in mail: for Mar 18th (however no updates on site or email notifications)

MAR 9th Biometrics complete via walk-in (All docs touched on USCIS site)

MAR 26th Received interview appointment (For May 6th)

APR 23rd Touched on I-130 and I-485

APR 26th Touched on all docs, EAD card production ordered

MAY 1st Advance patrol in mail

MAY 6th Interview (Request for additional information)

MAY 6th EAD in mail

June 1st (RFE mailed in)

June 28th Notice of approval on USCIS website

July 3th GREEN CARD INT HE MAIL!!!

Somehow I wasn't aware that I can send the G-1145 form to get email notifications and stuff. The AOS package was delivered to the Chicago lockbox on 1st March, so I was wondering if there is anyway for me to sign up for email notifications or text messages now? Or will I have to wait till my checks get cashed or I receive the NOA's, for me to be able to check the status of my case?

AOS timeline:

1st March 2010 - AOS packet received at Chicago (I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765)
9th March 2010 - Checks cashed
12th March 2010 - All 4 NOA's received
19th March 2010 - Applications touched biggrin.png
19th March 2010 - Received Biometrics letter for 2nd April
2nd April 2010 - Biometrics done
19th April 2010 - Received interview letter for May 21st biggrin.png
6th May 2010 - All applications touched. Status of I-765 changed to document production, status of I-131 changed to post decision activity.
10th May 2010 - Received approved AP in mail
21st May 2010 - AOS Interview, IO said he will approve the case... waiting for Green card smile.png
27th May 2010 - Received EAD card
17th June 2010 - Approval notice for I-130 received. Also received "Welcome to USA" letter biggrin.png
28th June 2010 - Finally received my GC.... Praise be to God smile.png

16th March 2012 - Sent ROC package
21st March 2012 - NOA1 date
20th April 2012 - Received Biometrics letter for 16th May

December 2012 - Received 10 year GC

01 Nov 2013 - Sent naturalization package

18 Feb 2014 - Oath ceremony done, naturalization complete!!

Yes, wait until you get your receipt numbers. After that you can create a profile on the USCIS website and add all your receipt numbers to your portfolio. You will be able to get emails and text messages then.

If you registered for emails, I think it might send you an update. Or else in your portfolio there's a date that says the last update, which is what you're looking for.
