I got my GC today!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally i have been only waiting a month. it is so pretty to hold in my hand and finally have it lol!

Did you get the ridiculous little envelope to put it in as well? :lol: To stop them stealing your info using radio frequency or whatever. Pretty high-tech!

Don't you have to have it on you at all times? It says on the approval notice!? Yours should come soon since they are starting to send them out again!

but what if you lose it? Replacement isn't so fast and easy as to replace i.e. DL?

I don't know if i will i just thought it was mandatory.

I went to get a SSN today it went well. I go back tomorrow to get the temporary one cause it takes 2 weeks for it to come in the mail. So excited i can apply for jobs tomorrow :)!

I don't know what to do about carrying it. It IS mandatory to carry it at all times, but I'm not sure it's legal for a cop to actually demand it or arrest you for not having it or anything... I'll probably keep mine on me all the time, though. I won't lose it. I've never lost a card or passport or anything like that.

I applied for my SSN as well, hopefully it will get here soon so I can get a freaking job.

I have never lost anything either, but I will carry my EAD, and if someone wants to check my status, they are welcome to look up my A# :) it is just too risky...
