Oh, btw my AP arrived on the same day as the EAD. However, my AP status is still in "Initial Review" even though the EAD status was being updated as it was coming along.

As lucky goat mentioned, don't forget your passport (+visa), I-94, etc. Do you have all the tax return stuff as well?

What do you mean tax return stuff? We didn't file jointly he filed as single cause we didn't know about ITIN's we just filed them online. Or do you mean the tax stuff i sent, the W2'S and 1040 forms?

Well then i am a dork i didn't know i had to take that in with me. Weird that i would have to bring them even though i already submitted them. Is that the only thing you have to bring that was already sent in?

They like it if you bring a copy of everything you mailed in, even though they probably won't look at it all. Don't forget photos! Good luck Nats.

As far as the EAD goes... I received my AP in the mail on Saturday but still no EAD or GC. Wouldn't want to be in a hurry to work, would I?

EmVee, did you bring new tax returns too for 2009 with W2, 1099 etc (if you submitted with 2008) and recent paystubs and bank statements? Did they look at it?

What my husband did was before we send out the packet, he scanned everything and now we have a PDF file of the whole packet. All we have to do is print out a set. In addition to that we're bringing our 2009 taxes.

However, as EmVee mentioned, and as I've read from other people's experiences, they probably won't look at it if you already sent it in. I try to be prepared for everything though.

To be on the safe side I have a copy of every single thing I sent in with the original application in addition to supporting documents. I dont want them to ask for anything and I dont have it.

Yeah i got everything ready to just grab in the morning since it is at 10:30am hopefully everything is alright.I just got an e-mail saying my EAD was approved yay! But what is the point since my interview is tomorrow? or do i still need to have it?

I have a question. Was your case moved from "initial review" to "testing & interview" before you received interview letter or after? Or it wasn't changed at all?

Mine still says initial review and my interview is today. It never changed sadly!

Nah, we just brought in his 2008/07 tax stuff, and they didn't ask to see anything like that.

I didn't copy any of the forms we'd filled out, I just brought the originals of everything I'd copied and mailed, photos, and copies & originals of extra supporting evidence I'd gathered. So basically I had one folder marked Originals and one folder marked Copies. In the end, he only wanted to see the original lease agreement and take a copy, and after that he was happy to just take the copies I'd made of bank info, netflix account, gas bill and gym membership. He gave me back the photos I'd mailed in, and the certified copies of our birth certs, and said regular photocopies were okay.

And even though some of the online stuff still says "Initial Review" I got my EAD today. Terrible picture, lol. Should I go to the SS office with it and try to get a SSN or just wait for the green card to do all that?? Do you guys think it makes a difference?

I would go with EAD. It doesn't really matter what you bring. And I assume you have approval letter for GC to show.

Unless of course if you are not in hurry.

I'm still applying for jobs but no interviews as of yet. But yeah, it's probably best to get it done as soon as possible, just in case. And I do have the GC letter, so that should be fine.

Well I just got back from my interview and i was APPROVED!! The weight on my shoulders and gut sickness is gone lol!!
