February 2010 filers??

Yeah when i came here initially we lived in Washington and the reason i stayed was because my husband had to relocate to Utah so somewhere in the move it got thrown out or just got lost i didn't think anything of the significance at the time darn it lol. I looked into that form and it says that it can take months to process whereas it can take days sometimes and it costs 320!

I remember I was about to throw it away too, because I thought that I overstayed anyway, so who cares about it But I decided to keep it! And I am happy I did

I think you should call USCIS, to make sure that it is not so necessary..

When you are so close to getting GC, you don't want something minor like this delay it

I finally got my interview letter! Woohooo!! Hadn't checked the mailbox yesterday, but hubby grabbed the mail on our way out today and handed it all to me. As soon as I saw the oh-so-anticipated envelope I screamed! (scared him and he asked what was wrong, then laughed when I explained)

what are you guys bringing to the interview?

We submitted all the stuff listed on the interview letter (except the evidence of the relationship) - birth certificates, medical letter, affidavit of support and tax returns, our marriage certificate and etc with the AOS package.

So do I need to bring all of it to the interview again? How about the tax returns? We submitted with the 2008, but the tax is due now, so do I need to bring the 2009?

It says on the interview notice specifically to bring a copy of everything that you submitted with your application. If you have filed your 2009 tax return, it would be a good idea to bring it (along with a copy) to the interview.

I'm also going to post information about going through the process with my 11 year old daughter. I haven't been able to find ANY information about questions they actually ask children. However, my daughter got her OWN interview notice and separate interview time, so although I'm sure they will take us all in at the same time, I'm also sure they plan on asking her a few questions. She's a little nervous about it though!

@ shes a little nervous about it. Thats cute. I'm sure they will give her a hard time and drill her with questions and dates. lol j/k. Thats weird that she has a seperate interview but it will probably be the easiest part of the whole process. lol

I sent in my originals of the letters people wrote for me i just have copies. Geesh i can't believe i have to print and copy more stuff. what did you have for evidence that you took to the interview. All i have is joint health insurance,cable,car insurance,photos i have e-mails from 6 years ago but they are private lol. No other bills because my brother in-law owns the house and they are in his name.

I had a lease, joint bank account, gas bill, car insurance, health insurance, dental insurance, my daughter's report card, an invitation to a wedding addressed to both of us, a thank you letter addressed to both of us for judging speeches at our county's academic pentathlon, wedding cards, cell phone records, chat/email records, flight stubs from visits and photos.

The interview didn't turn out exactly the way that I hoped, though I'm optimistic. I posted the review on the Canada forum AOS thread and on the January 2010 filers thread, if you want to take a look.
