So i called the RCMP back today like she asked me too. They were so rude! I am so irritated. I guess i am going to have to figure it out on my own. I guess a canadian immigrating to the US doesn't get treated nicely! I am so sick of rude people lol.

I actually posted the answer to your criminal record check question in your other post. You are going to have to get the fingerprint version, as you are not in Canada - which can take up to 3 months to obtain.

Haha yeah. Gotta love when you can throw the blame on them lol. I am so excited/nervous for my interview i wish it was sooner so i could not stress anymore lol.

Unfortunately it's not really all that funny. What you have done is...fraud. The I-485 specifically asks if you have ever been arrested, I assume you answered no.

At the bottom of the form it states that you understand all of the questions and answers on the form - which I assume you signed. It also states that you swear under penalty of perjury that the information you provided is true and correct.

If they don't find out then I guess you are lucky, it just seems a bad way to start out your American Residency, by breaking the law.

I didn't lie on my application where it asks that question it gives you examples of what kind of crime they are talking about i didn't do any of that. They aren't going to find anything i was never charged with anything so therefore there is nothing.

It stands for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police lol. Yeah i was very annoyed until i got someone really nice who helped me out. I don't need anything brought with me cause i don't have a record thank god!

I read your posts and you said you were arrested. In part C, question 1, item B of the I-485 it asks if you have ever been arrested - for breaking ANY law, not a specific type of law (the only exception they make is for traffic violations)

Well if the drunk tank counts then i guess i lied. Nothing i can do about it now. They don't have any record of it so what would've been the point in disclosing it?

Does it even count as an arrest...? You called them and they said there's no record of it, right? It could just have been them scaring a group of kids. My brother was picked up for underage drinking one time, but he didn't have an "arrest" on his record or anything. The police just rounded them up to frighten them and called their parents.

Obviously it's not the best to not have declared it earlier, but you were genuinely confused about it, which I'm sure they'll understand. If it wasn't a real arrest, there's no record of it and nothing came of it except for a phone call to your parents and a cranky cop, it probably doesn't even count. I mean, I don't know, but.... I wouldn't imagine so.

Yes, being arrested counts.

Hey, I am not trying to rain on your parade. I understand now that you don't care - I was just being honest with you, telling you the facts. I just happened to see your posts after responding to your police check question. Then I see people going along with you in here and I just wanted to point out that - hey, this is really not - right.

You signed a document and you perjured yourself and you are ok with that - i'm not a judge, I don't work for USCIS or DOS.

Yeah i called the RCMP today and i talked to the supervisor there and she told me that they don't count that as anything. It is not any records or sealed anything. So i am lucky. It was all just stupid lol.

I didn't set out to lie about it. I just checked no because i didn't even think about it. That is why i got worried when i got the interview letter and started wondering with that attached arrest form thing, but there was nothing i could do. The forms were confusing and frustrating as it was that i wasn't even thinking about some stupid drunk thing when i was 15. That is why i was trying to figure it out now but everyone says don't worry, and then i when i talked to the woman today she said don't worry as well so i am just not going to anymore.
