Since you're going to be entering the U.S. on a CR-1, you'll be essentially granted a greencard on entry. The stamp on your passport works as a greencard until the physical GC arrives in the mail.

The next thing we do is "Removal of Conditions" 1 year 9 months after entry. Simple I-751 form backed with ongoing bonafide evidence of marriage.

The hospital I got my medical done at DID give me copies of a few documents for future use in the U.S./record keeping purposes.

But no, no more medical required for us.

It's so strange that they didn't give me any records for future use except that Examination Sheet (the one i mentioned earlier) and the brown envelope of my chest X-ray film. They told me to get another shot next month, and that is it. Would you please tell me what are the records they provided to you dear?

Thank you so much for the instant response. I'm feeling a lot at ease now. I'm glad to know that I don't have to fill that DS-2053 form. I have one last question, dear. When i was doing the research, I've seen some people are having trouble with the RFE at the adjustment of status or some sort, and it had something to do with their medical exam history. Do we have to keep any forms or records for future use? To be honest, I definitely don't want to have any potential problems back here in my country when I can't do anything about it. Hmm...

The DS 2053 is filled out by the medical examiner. When you ask for one, they will make a photocopy for you of the completed form. This is what you need to create a health record at the State Health Department where you will be living in the United States. Otherwise, they will ask you to pay for another checkup to establish record.

Everything you NEED to pass your interview is inside the envelope. Just take that to the interview.

As for me, my wife went in for her checkup on Friday. The poor service provided at SOS clinic is something to reckon with. They could not find her previous record and her vaccination history, took them a few hours to sort things out. Now just yesterday I get this call from the clinic that the doctor wanted to see my wife a second time. We don't know why and they didn't tell us except my wife will have to come in on Monday morning.

I tell you, nothing is scarier than having a doctor call you to come in for a second visit after having given a blood test.

Yep, no need to adjust status with a CR1 visa. That's for K3 Visa people like my wife. We were lucky enough to get a K3 visa quickly for her to visit the U.S. freely for two years. We could have my wife adjust status in the U.S. for a greencard but instead we decided to move forward for a IR1 visa with the ten year greencard.

So this next interview will be the last and final interview and contact we will have with NVC and USCIS --- until she applies for naturalization.

Okay, wife called to say the health clinic doctor just wanted to educate her about the importance of a breast examination and that one should be done at least once a year. OH GREAT. Here we had thought ( and scared ) about the "WHAT IF" illnesses.

She can pick up her brown envelop in a day or two, or after the Cambodian New Year. YAY!

Thanks...We have been going over all the evidence of relationship. I know we have more than enough, but i want to have more than needed so there is no question. Mhay is getting ready to call on the CFO seminar at PRISM...hopefully she can knock that out on thursday too. This week is going to be draining on me though...at least I will be pretty busy at work, but wednesday evening it will most likely drag on until I get Mhay's text to call her. There is quite a few interviews this week, so it should be a good week for everyone.
