Just a quick update. My wife had the medical last weds and thurs. All is good, passed. So it is onto the interview in 3 weeks.

good luck on the interview....we are still waiting to hear if we will get an april interview. I'm not sure if the expedite will carry over or not...it should since I included my deployment orders, but they were only submitted to the supervisor in the NVC. I will call and inquire on monday here in the states to see about the interview availability.

Quick update on my moms case, case complete at the NVC on Feb 25th. We are still waiting for our interview date. Anyone know the interview schedules at the embassy in Sarajevo BiH?

This thread seems a bit boring for some reason. Perhaps we can share something interesting, useful, and helpful in preparation of the interview.

I'll start.

My wife was approved for a K3 visa over a year ago. For us, I think our interview will be quick. I highly doubt there will be any questions or issues related to our bonafide marriage. We have been living together in her home country since and both our names appear on our family residence book and bank accounts.

WE have photos of both of us taking part in different charity functions, we have our own talk show on radio, and we have professional and crazy photos together.

Perhaps we can put our heads together and compile all the possible questions that could be asked in preparation?

How did you two meet?

Why do you want to live in America?

What does your husband/wife do?

For our K3, my wife was asked what my brother's name was? I thought it was unusual.

I wish I were one of the April interviewees, but well, early May isn't that bad since my country has a whole bunch of public holiday in April

To SPSGuy: I hope I can learn from your experience since your wife will be having the interview 1 week ahead of us. Please give us some tips and advices, we just wanna make sure we didn't allow any little spaces for the CO to doubt our marriage Keep us posted of your interview result, ok? Thanks

BB, sure I'll keep you and Thansur posted. Glad to see things are moving forward for you two. My greatest fear is meeting a good consulate on a bad day. To be quite honest, we will have to start collecting our photos and everything soon. April 10-18 are basically New Year so we will be sure not to get any medical checkup around that week as nothing will get done until a week later.

Thansur, medical checkup in PP takes about 3 days for SOS clinic. At that time, you will be notified if your wife needs additional treatment, vaccinations, etc..

SPSguy - we just make an appointment at IOM for end of this month. It will take 1 whole day @ cost of 90 for medical check up + 40 for all the required vaccinations.

Yes for the philippines it is. First day they do all the tests and chest xray...the second day is the results and immunizations.

Great. My wife and I have not scheduled our appt. yet. Since the visa is good for 6 months from date of check up, we are trying to squeeze in as close to interview as possible. We plan to enter the U.S. near November.

Not so cool day today. First the good news, my mom has an interview date in Sarajevo on April 1st. Now the bad news, she received her interview letter today (March 30th) which basically leaves her tomorrow to get the Medical exam done with no appointment. I do not understand why a letter was not sent to us in the States, we have gotten every single piece of correspondence except probably the most important. Anyway my mom is going to be the first in the doctors office tomorrow and hopefully everything works out or we are going to have to call the embassy for a reschedule.

I forgot to mention that the letter was dated March 15th, I guess they sent it snail mail to Sarajevo.
