No, she took the train, it took a little over 5 hours to get there.

BTW, She just called, CO said APPROVED!!!

My wife had her interview today. It took all of five minutes and went really well.

They did not ask to see any additional info apart from what was initially submitted.

Visa approved - see attached.

That's fantastic news, DSmiami.

When my wife and I showed up for her K3 interview it took about five minutes as well. I ended up educating the interviewing consular about the K3 visa. Evidently, at the time, the consular did not know that the K3 had multiple entry advantages. Anyways, now we are headed for a IR1 and I think it should be quick as well.

Some of us on VJ forum have this feeling that the consular's job is to make our lives miserable by rejecting visas with nasty interviews. This is not the case at all. Their job is to approve the visa unless otherwise better rejected.

I think the most nerve wrecking for me was standing there and "waiting" for the consular to type in the computer. Everything else was simple and I hope this time around things will be just as quick.

With a prior approved K-3, you have nothing to worry about this time around.

Thanks Sacha, but I can already hear the consular asking the magic question, "Alright you two, what's going on, we gave you a frickin' K3 already why the heck are you still here? Do you intend to live in the U.S. or not?"

Btw, we are still waiting for my wife's medical checkup result/packet. We want it close to the interview date but not this darn close. All last week was the Cambodian new year so no one works til this week.

God bless my beautiful wife she's already fussing over why our scheduled interview is for 8 and not 7 AM like before.

Yes! We finally received the medical checkup packet. Everything good.

It felt just like yesterday when we had three more weeks to go. Now it's just five more days.

the closest place to the embassy to do it is PRISM. It lasted about 2 hours for her and was not that much of an issue. Just take all your stuff from the interview there with you. Mhay was asked for my divorce decree. You will need 2 forms of ID. I believe Mhay was there at about 930 and done a little after 12. Registering with the CFO has to wait until after you have your visa (this is where you get your stamp in your passport so you can get on a plane). The seminar at PRISM is 250 Php.

Hello again....do they really need your NBI and BIRTH CERTIFICATE FROM NSO? I was told to bring nbi and birth cert. are they going to get the original copies? thanks...

yes get your BC and NBI..both of which has to be original and a photocopy. BC has to be on NSO security paper.

Sacha, I just got done getting everythign ready for the interview -- like five minutes ago. Between printing our my business licenses, certifications, tax transcripts for me, my co-sponsors, taking screenshots of our email archives, taking files and have them local printshop print as photos, and other stuff, I've been busy since yesterday evening.

Also printing out all the stuff ate up a whole ink catridge for my HP printer.

Not sure why I'm nervous, after all we already have an approved K3 visa and have gone through this once before. But something makes me uneasy when I'm not the one making the final say relating to my wife's and my future.
