What should I put for my current status while filing I-485

I entered U.S. via B2 visa but expired on June, 2009. I married with my wife (she is US citizen) before my B2 visa expired. Now we are going to submitt the package of I-130 & I-485, but there is a blank that I should fill in my current status, what should I write in there?? I read over the internet, some people say that write "Adjusting Status" but some say "B2 Overstay" or "B2". Is there anyone else that who had experienced in such situation?? Please advise me, many thanks!

Well i sent in my AOS packet and i put B2 in that slot and i have been out of status since 2008. So i hope that is what i was suppose to put it in cause i can't change it now.

Yeah i just went over my spare forms and i just put B2 that was it.I haven't been interviewed yet i actually just sent in my AOS packet yesterday.

When I filed my stuff I wrote "out of status". You should answer " B-2" if you have a quesion like "manner of last entry in US" , but not as a current immigration status.

So does that mean i messed up on my form? Cause i just sent it in with the b2 there so i hope i don't get rejected because of that.

I also didn't put an expiration date beside it. I went to a lawyers office and she wrote everything over top of what i had written down and told me to put b2 there but no expiration date so i hope she didn't screw me over because she didn't know what she was doing. I am so nervous now.

B2.

Do you really find that so complicated? Your status is that of a tourist who entered with a B2. Therefore, B2 is the correct answer, as you are adjusting status from a B2. Like the British rock band U2, but with a B instead of a U.
