I just now received a telephone call from Senator Lugar's Immigration Specialist. I had writtent an email to him earlier this month. She told me that she received word from the CSC about my case. The "word" is that they are working on it and if I haven't heard anything within 60 days to check back. Wow! What GREAT information for me!

She told me that "the CSC can be very sticky at times." She also asked me to wait as late into August as I can muster and she will inquire again for me. I thanked her profusely for her efforts. She told me that she is sorry that she didn't have anything substantial for me. I could tell that she feels for us and how much she would have liked to have some good news for us.

I give the Senator's office a "A" for effort! Maybe if enough inquiries come from Congress, it will spur some additional efforts on the part of CSC.

Wow! You actually got a reply from Lugar's office! I've heard nothing from them. Bayh got back to me within 2 weeks, though.

Good luck!

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Senator Bayh sent me a nice letter with a release form which I need to complete and return to his Indianapolis office before he says he can investigate any further. I decided to try both senators and see what happened. I will post again if I get any reponse from Bayh. Best of luck to you!

Just about every senator or congressman's office will require a privacy release as the first step in order to make an inquiry on a case. Here are the instructions in case you want them: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=22477

Sorry, but that sounded like a "canned" response to me. "they are working on your case"!!!!

We already knew that.

Where is your freaking approval already? You are due for an answer to that question...

Good luck for a speedy approval.

Yep. They did call on Sunday which is impressive though. And that 60 days thing is #######! It should be 30, esp with your NOA1 date.

Thanks! The pins and needles I am sitting on are beginning to hurt! :D Let's see what this week brings to us all...

Okay, I have submitted the forms and paperwork to both california senators

Still havent gotten anything from Feinsteins office except we are working on it.

Boxers office:

Submitted paperwork over a month ago, finally got call last thursday and when I called back today (friday the person working on case was out of office) the person who has my case did not want any stats on the issue, didnt want to discuss that CSC was taking petitions out of NOA1 order because she said she couldnt do anything about that. She said I will make inquiry into your case, but refused to tell me what she was going to do and how she was going to make inquiry, said it was her job and she didnt need to tell me how she did her job. I told her I knew what response she would get "in process call back in 30 to 60 days" she said yes that was probably what she would get. When I tried to tell her about bigger problem she didnt want to hear it and wouldnt even let me tell whole story. She said they had received alot of complaints about the same thing but because immigration law needed reform they couldnt do anything about it.

Bottom line, now I am going to war with CSC and senator Boxer's office. This is not over, and I am not going to accept some self important staffers answer and BS response to my inquiry.

Stand by for further word. Next stop Civil Liberties Union!!!!!!

That is BS!!!! They are F***ing us and we have to smile and take it. That is total BS. I hope my congressman and senators are better than that. My congressmans aid was at least polite and empathetic. But asked me to call back around the middle August, giving them 30 days to process my RFE before making the official inquiry.

Lets hope something positive happens real soon.

Update

I also have submitted the paperwork to my congressman's office (Bill Thomas) at least his staffer wanted to see the data and that she would pass it on to the congressman. She at least listened to my problem and if nothing else was polite. I will call that office back in few days to see what they are doing.

Now on to Feinsteins staffer!!!!!

Any bets as to their response?

I just thought of something. I certainly hope that those of us who are "squeaky wheels" don't get the ROYAL treatment and each time we inquire, our case gets pushed back to the bottom of the pile. That would really suck!

I am beginning to lose my cool. Rong and I are tired of taking the "high road." We want our NOA2 and we want it NOW! :ranting:
