My wife already submitted the Affidavit Of Support(AOS) to NVC about 3 months back. My interview is in about 2 weeks from now. The Interview email from NVC doesn't mention anything about AOS.

Question: Do I need to take a new AOS from wife again for interview? If yes, does it also needs to be notarized?

Thank you

The interview letters that I've been seeing (here) usually have a list of documents, and the 'status' of the documents.

I'm surprised you not have this - it's really clear on what to do, how to do.

But.

Usually, a beneficiary will submit a new I-864 form, filled out by the Petitioner,

IF

there has been a big change from the time it was submitted to NVC -

and usually the big change relates to something positive -

ie - MORE MONEY to show

or

A Tax Season has started (like it has, now)

Be Safe, ah? Have her prep a new one with TY 2009 tax return info (including 2008 and 2007, if not submitted with the original submittal thingie to NVC).

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thanks for the reply,

My wife submitted the AOS to NVC, but my interview letter doesn't have anything mention about AOS.

However, I will take my wife's fresh AOS, but my wife hasn't filed for 2009 taxes. Her AOS includes information for Tax year 2006,2007 & 2008. She said she will send me 2009 W-2. She didn't file for 2009 Taxes. She wants to file taxes with me (joint filing).

I think we should be good if we take 2009 w-2. Is there any thing else I am missing, please guide me with your experiences.

Thanks

Just to add to my above post, I can take a letter(statement) from the petitioner(wife) for not filing 2009 taxes. As the consulate website says as follows

The petitioner should execute the Affidavit of Support and submit the following:

Federal income tax return (form 1040 and W-2 forms) for the most recent year, or a statement why the petitioner did not file a federal income tax return in any of the past three years

I am looking for the format of such letter(statement). Please share your experiences.

Thanks
